At least it will provide West Ham with some relief from their torrid league campaign and Sam Allardyce insists he will not select a weakened team against City. "We'll put a team together that tries to play for a bit of pride," he said.

I'll be amazed if he risks his best players, apart from Carroll who he needs to get fit, and the quoted bit doesn't sound like "full team" anyway. He also has to try and attract a crowd.

After Tuesday's game it will be 8 days until their next game, so they don't need to worry too much about resting players for the league.

Plus that games Chelsea away..

Dzeko's played more football than anyone recently. The fact that Negredo came off early on against Cardiff suggests that he'll start tomorrow. Dzeko and Aguero to start against Watford.

Only 100% starters for us are Pants and Garcia. Pellers doesn't seem to want to let up at all and play the Academy lads. Maybe this time Lopes plus 1-2 more will get a start

Kun to get a stint late maybe to increase his match fitness.

I like the look of this - decent defence and midfield to prevent a calamity and experimental up front. Not sure about the last two though as Jovetic may not be available. Maybe an EDS pairing (Cole and Pozo?) or Dzeko and one from the EDS, as Dzeko has hit a scoring streak and Negredo doesn't tend to score away. I'm sure Pellers would want us to score freely and win!

Aguero and Jovetic, if available, to get 45 minutes.

Last chance. Anyway, Boyata is right-sided. If he doesn't impress, hopefully he can be loaned out or sold before end of January. Nasty can play Saturday in a more important game.

he's had enough chances, and getting sent off at Championship Blackburn was game over for him
