Manchester City V West Ham (2nd Leg) Pre-match thread

The Hammers have an early start on Saturday, Swansea at home, in presumably a game from which they must take points. For that reason, I would expect them to rest key players as well. I'd normally see tonight's type of fixture as a dull draw, but MP has instilled the kind of mentality and competition that makes me think we'll go for more goals again.

I think MP will play a strong side tonight, pretty much like in the first leg with the (hopefully) inclusion of Jovetic at some stage. It does not seem to be in his DNA to put a buch of kids out like Wenger would.
Very important to keep the away wins going...

No he's available and according to reports will play some part

Presumably the part that involves contesting every single decision, clattering folk left, right and centre, and generally being an utter **** before getting an early shower?

I can see Dzeko/Aguero starting with Jovetic being the one to make the cameo this time out. Really interested to see where Jovetic is played.

The thought of him on the same pitch as us fills me with unease.

Another semi-final. We've had quite a few ever since the Sheikh took over. Long it may continue.

I too expect Pellegrini to put on a strong side. Maybe not the best, but stronger than most expect. I think it's important to stretch this fantastic run of results. And a blank sheet coupled with a professional performance would do me tonight. With Pantilimon in goal we seem to be better at keeping a clean sheet. Pantilimon probably the one name that surely will start other than him getting ill or picking up a late injury.

So: Blank sheet, no injuries and at least a glimpse of Jovetic and Rodwell please? Thank you.

He's too slow to get near any of our players and although we don't rate him, Fat Sam will have reigned him in

"And in a late change from the previously submitted Manchester City team sheet...."
