One negative thing that stood out for me today in the 2nd half, and something I've noticed quite often when he has played, is Rodwell being very stationary in the middle when we have the ball. He doesn't make space to receive the ball and offer an outlet for his teammate in possession. Yaya bollocked him at one point for just standing behind a Milan player and not offering him a pass.

He's a decent player with potential but he won't make it here if he doesn't improve this part of his game a lot. Central midfielders should pretty much always be on the move to receive the ball no matter who on your team is in possession (bar the GK)

rodwell's passing game is not good. neither is his defence. he is only capable of scoring goals from a long distance and i think that's what he wanted to do today. that said, he's only 22, he will improve but he's not ready for a permanent place in the first 11.

But it's crazy how deep our squad is. We're almost getting to the level of having 2 very competitive teams. Our subs alone could make a run for the 4th spot in the EPL.

Whilst I agree to a certain extent, you could see we struggled massively when we took off Silva, Navas, Jovetic and Fernandinho.

I would like us to get a replacement for Sinclair, another nice tricky winger if possible, maybe a right sided winger who we can invert and get him scoring goals.

defence for me needs better strength in depth, Clichy needs a good backup and I think both Nastasic and Kompany need good backups, but if we can get one then I suppose we could be OK.

In terms of the PL, our midfield is decent in depth.

In terms of the CL, outside Yaya and Fernandinho I don't see anybody who can step up to make the difference, Rodwell maybe, but Barry and Garcia are not cut out for that level of oppostion in my opinion.

Overall If I was to complete the squad I would get another winger to replace Sinclair, a back up center half, a left back and a midfielder to maybe replace Barry.

You want to bring in 8 players in one off season? That seems much.

If Jovetic and Dzeko are going to be linking up like that, Aguero will have to fight for his spot.

That's exactly what I've been thinking since the match..those 2 have a far better understanding together than aguero does with any other forward we have ..I love the competition I'm so curious to see what's going to be our main striker duo

I'd go with just that one change - Toure for Rodwell

I know it was just a friendly, but Dzeko looked like a changed man. Maybe Pellegrini has just given him all the confidence he needs to succeed, after all, a lot of people were saying he's a confidence type of player.

He looked far less greedy than usual, normally he'd take any shot he could get his hands on, but he kept picking good passing and playing for the team yesterday.

Navas looked very exciting too.
