Aguero not on the bench according to Stuart Brennan. Wish the club would announce them.

Edit: He was wrong.

Quite surprised by Liverpool's line up.

It literally screams - 'get ahead in the first 10 minutes and then play on the break'.

Very surprised Lucas isn't in. Gerrard will be playing in the Lucas position, which will leave them with just Henderson and Coutinho in the middle of midfield. Risky that.

Our side looks well balanced and we should have 5 across the middle when necessary. Has a 'suss them out first and then crack on' feel to it.

I don't think Dzeko will get much out of their CBs especially if he's playing with his back to goal. I would've preferred Negredo in that role.

Dzeko really needs to prove himself and actually finish chances! Can't be wasting chances like he normally does!

This is the same team that conceded almost a whole half of possession against Southampton last week. AT HOME. We are going to get rucking reamed. Pellegrini never learns, does he??
Time to fuck this place off....

Subs Pants, Joleon, Kol, Garcia, Jimmy, Beast and Sergio

Picked itself really. Joleon in case Komps cant last 90, Kolarov for Clichy, jimmy for Navas or Nasri depending. Plus 2 striking options. No room for Jovetic sadly,

Pellegrini has balls of steel with that line-up.

Essentially saying, we won't change for Liverpool.

Just hope he has not allowed his commendable faith and trust in these players to cloud his thinking?

He did likewise for that Bayern home game and it was too late to fix it.

Great to see Vinny man up, and in a World Cup year, too!
