As a Liverpool fan, I obviously think we will win the league. It just makes more sense for us to do it. We have been the most consistent, played the best football, we have the best trike duo in the premiership and all the neutrals want Liverpool to win it. I am not saying that we have the best squad, I am only saying that we have discovered the most consistent and the most balanced team. In contrast, City have struggled to find the proper cohesion most of the season . I guess you are unlucky with Aguero's and other players injury problems, but even if Aguero were to be fit all season - he is nothing compared to Suarez.

Don't worry we will make sure that you have one thing less to brag about after the Sunday game. And that is consistency.

We have to pick a team that will grind a result out at Anfield in my opinion, going there thinking we will batter them is naive.

Garcia, Fernandinho and Yaya all have to start in midfield and Segio has to start up top if you ask me, we need power and numbers in the middle and pace up front.

I fancy us getting a number of chances against their defence but we need to put on a defensive masterclass to stop them from scoring.

Our pressing will play a big factor in us getting a result as well, play like Tottenham did and we will get battered so we have to get in their faces and hunt them down in packs.

If you want to win the game for God sake don't start Garcia.

I've noticed that Liverpool really struggle against teams that park the bus this season. Counter attack football is needed but can you play that? City usually dominate most matches.

I hope you just destroy them from the off, would be amazing. Really looking forward to this now.
Its an annoying trait (especially on the internet) of people who havent followed a players progress (DeMichelis is another case in point) to believe the hype surrounding them. Stop basing your conclusions on media driven bullshit and actually watch a player before you rubbish him...

This is a very patronising comment, suggesting you believe your opinion to be the definitive one. What makes you think you are the only one who watches the games?

Garcia has definitely improved from early in the season, but frankly that was a very low bar to cross. He wouldn't start for any of our rivals, so not sure why we would suddenly put him in for our most important game since QPR 2 seasons ago. He is a serviceable backup for Fernandinho. Showing more appetite to tackle and able to string a few passes together. But he's nothing special and if we traded him at the end of the season, we are very unlikely to get back what we paid him, which is a pretty indicative yardstick. I would play Milner any day of the week ahead of Garcia.

Thanks for posting, bud. You just made me feel a whole lot better. And what a move. Sumptuous passes by Nasri and Navas and a more than decent finish by Negredo (still think he wrong-footed Mignolet by his outside of the foot shot).

nothing eh?

remind me again what suarez' goals per minute ratio is?

in case you hadnt realised, Aguero's is the best in premierships history...not just this year

remind me again what suarez' scoring record is against top ten teams in the premiership?

until feb this year:
Only 17% of Luis Suarez’s goals have come against teams in the top half,

Sergio is 57%

Aguero 'nothing' next to Suarez?

What fukin shite. Suarez is a fine player, but Aguero is every bit as good, and I wouldn't swap him for any forward in the world. Not even a 26 year old Francis Lee, and that is saying something.

There's some major jinx worthy comments about Suarez in this thread. But I'll add my own and say he has been a flat track bully (see below) with Sturridge even scoring more against top sides. Still, if you partnered him with Aguero and they could co-exist, it'd be unstoppable.

Its far from patronising...its the truth....more often than not I've seen comments from rival supporters posting jibes such as ' I hope you play Demichelis' or 'Garcia is garbage' That isnt my opinion, thats based on actual comments.

When I get the chance to ask the people responsible for them, invariably it turns out they havent watched our recent games at all to be able to make a judgement.

Incidentally (and forgive me if you havent seen him play recently) but if Garcia improves at the same rate he has in the last few games, he could well end up being a lot more 'special' than you seem to give him credit for.

Pellegrini views Milner as a winger and not as a CM, I don't think he has ever started Milner as a CM, so he won't be deputized as one in this game, which leaves Garcia as the only 'defensive' minded midfielder we have. Considering how much time Toure spends in the opposition half, I wouldn't want Demichelis in a one on one with Suarez. Garcia has actually been consistently good in all games he has played as a CM. The only poor games were where he was used as a defender.

On a lighter note, here is Demichelis in a one v one against Ronaldo from last season:

I'm not sure we should be going into a game against inferior opposition hoping to grind out a result. Their defence against our attack is a mis-match. Yes they have the two best forward since time began but our defence is pretty decent and our midfield isn't exactly shabby.

Let's go there with some belief, let's twat them.
