Only the brave, only the brave

We'll go

................hart..................

Zab.....vin.........mdm.....clichy

.............fern.....yaya................

Navas...........................Nasri

..................silva....................

...........aguero......................

Quick, early goal and we could hit them hard

3-1 - yaya screamer, navas and kun

I'd gp with that team as well. My only other choice would be to go with Garcia instead of Nasri and push Yaya on but i really don't think this is a game for soaking pressure up and counter attacking. I think we should go for the f*ckin jugular from word go.

These lot are on par with the rags when it comes to defending lets get at them and let them know their in for a long 90 minutes.

Bring Garcia on with 20 minutes to go to shore things up if neccessary.

He'll do it if needs be re:Garcia when we're winning

Pellegrini's philosophy will shine through here, he'll go for the win as if we go defensive, we will be playing to the scousers strengths, much like our own fullbacks, they consistently bomb on, however, ours are as defensively sound as they are in attack, liverpools can be got at, with the adage of kun running the channels I think we'll have far to much for there defence, we just need ours, with Vinny leading, to stay strong!

I keep changing my preferred lineup. I think Dzeko will start which would be a mistake as the Liverpool defence will be ready to deal with him physically.

I would definitely play Garcia in this game. I think he is ready to put in one huge performance, one that will define him as a City player.

I would also put Jovetic in instead of Nasri, provided he is ready to work hard defensively when required. We need to give Liverpool something different to worry about to win this game.

Hart

Zabba Komps Demichelis Clichy

Garcia Ferna

Yaya Silva

Jovetic

Sergio

just remember my fellow beautiful chosen ones.

This is all a bonus.

We were broken and about to pompeyfy.

And then they came from the east.

just remember.

It's now over 9 weeks since Nastasic last appeared and Pellegrini says the doctors can't find out what's wrong with his knee...

quite disturbing.

Wonder if anyone else has been waking up in the middle of the night every night this week, and then thinking about this game for quite a long time before getting back to sleep?
I've got quite a good feeling about it, actually. Zaba's post on the OS seems to me to imply that Sergio could in fact have been brought on against Southampton, and that he was given one more week's recovery to make absolutely sure. That's reading between the lines, obviously. It wouldn't surprise me if he started. It's obvious that the midfield battle will determine everything, and we're going to have to be a sight sharper and fiercer in that department than we were against Southampton, by the way; but I'm confident we will be. If you're a player and you're not up for this kind of game then what will you be up for? These are the big games that Yaya loves, but he's not alone. If Sturridge and Suarez aren't getting the service because we're throttling the midfield, then they'll have to drop deeper. Not sure about the idea of playing Garcia, unless Ferny and Yaya can really work further up the field and cut out most of the through balls. Neither Garcia or Demichelis are quick men, we know this by now, and I don't fancy either of them in a spit second decision to tackle or not to tackle against LIverpool's front runners. Sergio, I think, will have to work some magic on his own up front. He can do it. Really doubt that Dzeko can, against a massed defence. He's been playing well recently, but he just doesn't do the stuff that turns a game on its head. Yes, we can do this. Draw or win. No losing: not an option.

I've had enough of this Hillsborough stuff, is getting tired now, yes I have sympathy but fuck me move on, I'm so nervous for Sunday, just hope it's not decided by some shite Twatenburg decision.

25 years have passed without justice. How can people move on? They lost heir loved ones who were falsely accused.

Who are you to say they should "move on"? If it had been your Dad, Mum, brother, sister, friend, girlfriend/boyfriend, cousin, or any other relative could you ever move on?

It could have been us if we'd had a better side (we were trying to get promoted from Division 2 at the time). Think about it.

On 15th April 1989, we were watching City getting tonked at Blackburn and it was half time when when I switched on my tranny and heard the news that there had been deaths. We can never forget that tragedy.

I am so proud of our club and 99.99% of our fans. After a request from some City fans, MCFC has commissioned a banner which will be taken to Anfield and held aloft by City fans, paying our respects to the victims of Hillsborough. City have also taken out a full page ad in the match programme with “YNWA” and both club badges. Mike Summerbee and Joe Corrigan will hand over 96 blue and red roses to Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush.

It is a source of national disgrace that justice has not been done for the Hillsborough Disaster. That 25 years have passed and justice still has not been done deepens that disgrace.

The victims were falsely blamed for the tragedy by South Yorkshire Police and Margaret Thatcher's government.
Their reputations were besmirched by the Police and Thatcher's govt who repeatedly told lies about them and what went on.

South Yorkshire Police amended Police officers' accounts of the Disaster, and bullied other officers into changing their accounts.

Vital evidence which could have made the truth public was covered up or destroyed by the Police and Thatcher's government.

Alcohol blood tests were taken of children who died at Hillsborough. Yes children were blood tested for alcohol to try to perpetuate the lie that drunken fans caused the disaster.

It was gross negligence and incompetence that caused the disaster.

Liverpool fans were falsely accused of breaking down the doors to the stadium when those gates were opened on the instruction of the South Yorkshire Police Match Commander.

Despite requests from Liverpool, The FA and S Yorks Police put Liverpool fans in the fateful smaller Leppings Lane end of Hillsborough. There had been crushing in the Leppings Lane End in 1981.

Hillsborough Stadium did not have an up to date safety certificate yet Sheffield City Council failed to close it.

The FA chose an unfit, unsafe stadium for one of the biggest matches of the season.

S Yorks Police (investigated rather conveniently in the aftermath by the equally corrupt West Midlands Police) told a tissue of lies.

The Emergency services were slow to respond to tend to the dying and injured.

The original Hillsborough coroner wrongly recorded a verdict of "accidental death", and deemed an erroneous cut off point when victims had no chance of survival - it has since been discovered that some of those people could have been saved.

Some people in Britain self righteously talk about the "British sense of fair play". What fair play? It's always been a myth (eg slavery, invading and looting other people's countries). Where is the fair play for the victims of Hillsborough and their families?

We stand together with them in dearly hoping these families find justice and that those who are responsible are prosecuted. Those have waited for far too long - 25 years - for justice.

JUSTICE FOR THE 96.

Yeah it's all Margaret Thatcher's fault???!! Give it a rest with political horseshit FFS.

Just an opinion, and I could be reading too much into it, but I don't think Pellegrini will start Aguero on Sunday.

Him saying that Aguero is 100% fit will probably be a tactic to make Liverpool think he'll be playing. If he was going to start Aguero he would more likely have said he was 50/50 or will see how he feels on the day.

As I say, just an opinion and most will probably feel it's a bit far fetched and his comment was about Aguero's fitness and nothing more.

What I think the team will be:

Hart
Zabaleta
Kompany
Demichelis
Clichy
Fernandinho
Yaya
Silva
Navas
Nasri
Dzeko

However I hope Nasri is replaced by Garcia, Navas by Jovetic and Dzeko by Aguero.
