They looked nervous as fuck yesterday. They didn't play with any freedom of expression as they were tense. Did you see Gerrard in the tunnel? Redknapp said in the studio "I know Steven Gerrard and he's a worrier"...then you saw his face, that gave me the confidence from that comment.

I don't quite get the hate for Rodgers. I actually think he's alright.
I can't think of anything he's done, to be honest, to warrant such hatred.

You're not trying very hard then.

For example, after the biting,

"Nicol, a former Liverpool defender and ESPNFC analyst, criticized Rodgers' handling of the incident, saying that Suarez has disgraced the club and the standards at Anfield are dropping.

"Brendan Rodgers is the face of the club," Nicol said. "He represents the fans, the players, the chairman and the rest of the board. Luis Suarez has absolutely let all these people down."

Rodgers has publicly backed the striker, saying: "he hasn't let me down one bit, not at all."

Hello everyone, first post here. All my family are blues but I'm a red (United fan).

Really hope you win the league - I love Manchester having the best teams. We're shit now and football comes in waves, we've had our time and now it's someone elses turn.

I'd rather it be City than Liverpool or Chelsea.

COME ON CITY.
Why thanks, if our positions were reversed I assure you I'd be supporting liverpool and chelsea. Best of luck getting 6th and europa league.
Rag.

I wasn't expecting a warm welcome!

But believe me, us United supporters hate Liverpool with a passion. Them winning the league is the worse thing that could happen in football for us.

99% of Utd supporters will be rooting for City next week!

A former Liverpool player discussing something about the current Liverpool manager is doing/has done, and the Liverpool manager responding - how would that make you hate him? It's not like he's said 'That Chippy Boy over yonder in manchester, he's a right ****, him', is it? How many times did Mancini back Balotelli, despite most of us knowing he shouldn't be near the club, let alone playing games? What would you expect Rogers to say of his own player? Upset the balance of how things are going and agree with Nicol? Easily offended much?

Reminds me of those middle managers I've encountered over the years. Full of cliches and corporate wank speak. He'll have you think he's invented a new philosophy, and he hasnt shut up about his philosophy since he got the job.

Started to annoy me when he started saying thinks like "you're not allowed to do that at this football club" as if he would have found it acceptable at Swansea or Reading.

Not a matter for hatred but I also find it amusing how much his face is changing. After candles, mirrors have been the big investment in Merseyside over the past few years.
The middle manager analogy is fair comment.

Looking at that schematic, going to be battle in midfield.

Hope YaYa is fit and Dzeko in for Aguero if he isn't fit.

The wide battles between the full backs will also be key.

We will need to stay strong centrally and hope that the Liverpool dives aren't rewarded

So let me get this straight, you think I can't stand the man because of this single quote? Is that what you are saying? I think you are probably not that stupid.

And, actually, it was an outrageous thing to say. He should have said "I will stand by my players, but biting has no place in this sport" or something like that.

The guy is a grade 1 twat.
