Yes there was. Those of us men at the game were interviewed about why we were at the game. The guy doing the interviews was the Australian guy who used to be on it. Somewhere we have it on video tape but I couldn't find it last year when I searched for it. I didn't make it to the final edit, but my wife and the other players are of course filmed. The Man City Womens team playing their first game at the Academy on the same day as the men play Newcastle, at home - Saturday February 21st. Womens match kicks off at 2:00 in the afternoon, proceeding before the mens game at 5:30 later in the evening.

Enjoyed the demolition of Villa today; the passing has improved dramatically since I first saw them a year ago, and some inventive forward play.
Suppose 762 not bad for a friendly, even if free, and it was bitterly cold in the Minihad, without beer to compensate.

I was at the game, out ladies looked pretty good against a Villa side who were not anywhere near our level.
A 'non' star player of ours Nikita Paris really caught the eye.
Christiansen takes a mean back post dipping corner and could do with teaching our first team how to deliver it.
An enjoyable game but really poor crowd. I don't understand why even if only curious so few were there.

750 for a woman's pre season friendly is poor? It's better than what nearly all the other women teams get in competitive matches.

Didn't look that many and I take your point that compared to other female crowds for other teams its probably good however, there's 44k of us heading to a game and although some travel miles/arrive late etc 750 for their first game when its free just to me shows that City are flogging a dead horse.
