To all the MEN staff following this debacle on Bluemoon.

David Lynch. I will not buy the MEN or visit your website again whilst you are employed by the paper. I am sure other City fans will take a similar stance. I will only hear that you have been removed from the paper if Stuart or someone else comes on here and mentions it, maybe in another thread. You can print this off and put it in your dossier for your next performance appraisal if you like.

Mike Keegan and Stuart Brennan. We appreciate not all MEN journalists are City fans, and we accept this. We can accept criticism when it is fair, and we appreciate all the positive stuff written about the club especially by Stuart. But I (and I am sure many others) will no longer put up with your newspaper if you allow this sort of rubbish to be printed or published online.

Both your contributions to this thread can only be seen as damage limitation, well after the horse has bolted. Your article Stuart was so rushed that you allowed it to go out without being checked properly. But there was no apology, and you can both see that you have deeply offended a large percentage of your target audience. When will we see an apology?

Good post, may i add to it ?

Stuart you mention the web team is semi independent, ok fine.
However is this not a perfect example of a half baked system of quality control basically ?
I pay a shed load to have the stuff we send out tested to iso bullshit standards in the name of quality control and i alone check the results.
This stage of the process is vital, absolutley vital mate in any business. You mess this stage up and you look a complete mug to whoever buys your product.
Decentralized qc does not work, it creates to many variables/opportunities for error.

This appears to be a corruscating example imo.
This sounds like the future mate, I can bypass all that ISO bollocks, out source all my design work and if one of our nuclear establishments goes bang, I'll just point the finger, shake my head and point out its hardly my fault I let a fucking idiot do it as I didn't have the resources available. This could save me thousands.

I don't know what time the photo was taken but traffic was particularly bad that night

They even suggested on 5 live around 45 minutes before kick off that they may delay the start

There were a lot of people late as a result

But regardless of this which will have had some effect, MEN is still bang out of order. There are always some ST holders who won't be able to make the odd game and who don't give/sell their tickets to others - that's the only reason for empty seats
This is true I was 15 minutes late due to the traffic. Just glad I sit I cbl3 so my seat wasn't circled sorry muen!

Dear @MENnewsdesk I was thinking of buying a bigger house but as my settee isn’t always fully occupied i’m not sure if I should. Advice plz?

Hahahaha, brilliant

I counted 3 posts questioning my whereabouts. I'm honoured!

This article is a shambles from beginning to end, which is what I've just ranted to the united fans all using it as a dig on facebook and the like. He, the reporter, seems like a bit of a silly sausage in the brand scheme of things, and someone never to be taken seriously.

I see the Bernabeu has lots of empty seats tonight even though it a Madrid derby in the Copa del Ray, Real v Athletico.

I bet the local Madrid paper doesn't have a go at their local clubs.
I also bet that the local Madrid paper doesn't employ any Barcelona or Valencia fans in their football section.

I am as staggered at this article as the rest of you, and have made my views known to David and to our online operation, as have one or two other journalists.
In fact, I have just written a reply to David's article which is due to go online shortly - apologies in advance if it is misses any points, but it had to be done quickly.
All I can say is that David is entitled to his opinion.
Opinion goes on here, Facebook and Twitter etc. FACTS! Should go into a newspaper article

Could someone explain to those utter ****s at the muen on behalf of my 5 & 7 year old lads who are numbers 2000 on the season ticket waiting list and desperate to get them exactly what the fuck this article is doing in a MANCHESTER newspaper. Complete and utter scum rag. Haven't bought it for years and never will again. Scumfucks

Don't sit on the fence, you can give your honest opinion here bud :p

I sit next to one of these "swathes". The guy has a long term illness and has been struggling for awhile, he always hopes he might get to the next game and I really hope he does it. His seat is close to the half way line and probably visible on TV. But it's his seat. It's not empty, it's waiting and I don't blame him one bit for not selling it.
