Unbelievably shocking.
Even though the author is supposedly a Liverpool fan it really does make me wonder whether the MEN is fit for purpose at providing backing for one of the clubs based in Greater Manchester. Not for one minute would the MUEN publish such an article about Utd.
Stuart can try to give us reasons why that shite was published on the web site - but sorry it just doesn't wash. Someone had to review that article and let it out into the wild.
Nearly time for a boycott or to bring back the Chronicle - one or the other.

I don't know what time the photo was taken but traffic was particularly bad that night

They even suggested on 5 live around 45 minutes before kick off that they may delay the start

There were a lot of people late as a result i
But regardless of this which will have had some effect, MEN is still bang out of order. There are always some ST holders who won't be able to make the odd game and who don't give/sell their tickets to others - that's the only reason for empty seats

This is true I was 15 minutes late due to the traffic. Just glad I sit I cbl3 so my seat wasn't circled sorry muen!

Ditto - a two hour journey from Timperley. Had to ditch the car in Ancoats in the end

Know of other blues who gave up and went home - simply couldn't get there

Not read this rag since the 70s when city won the cup winners cup when we only got a side Collum on the back page : head line was utd lose again ! And the side Collum was as if ! Oh bye the way city won the cup winners cup last night !! It's just a rags ! Rag !

Just for accuracy, the night we won the European Cup Winners Cup in Vienna (I was there) was the same night as the FA Cup replay at the swamp, Chelsea vs Leeds which was televised live and I believe the reason City didn't get much write up or even live tv.

I just seam to remember something in the m.e.n the day after the back page was all about the rags and we got a oh by the way city won the cup winners cup last night at the time I was rageing and a lot of ppl saying the same thing ! not got it to this day ! I was offered one for free last week in walkden and give it the guy back he said its free no thanks ! M.U.E.N says it all .
