I can't believe the Editor has defended this. An opinion piece has to be "fair comment" based on facts. I have never attended a sold-out match in my 47 years of watching football where all ticket-holders turned up. Most season ticket holders miss a few games a season because of various issues. The match was sold out weeks ago. I can't believe Rob Irvine would be daft enough to keep digging. He needs to ask himself: "Would the Liverpool Echo (another Trinity Mirror paper) have allowed this on its website about Liverpool or Everton? The answer is no because it would be commercial suicide.
