It's always reassuring to see Pige bobbing about on these threads. They're not the same without him.

Oooh what's he said ?

Waits with popcorn *
Well, Femibob. 1st I said the article was shit, which is it. Then I agreed with Tolmie about his post and stated how good it was. Then I told everyone there isn't an agenda and now i'm watching people get, what the kids say, 'owned' by one another.

:-)

Good show Pige, bravo ..

He's still giving it "at least I've opened a healthy debate about viagogo and official attendances" on twitter.

No you fucking didn't. That wasn't what you wrote about. That has nothing whatsoever, in fact, to do with what you wrote. That's like me writing a piece about how Sheikh Mansour is just here to make a profit from Manchester City, finding out he's actually lost a billion pounds and claiming that I've opened a healthy debate about the intentions of modern day football owners. In the match programme, I should add.

not to have a go at utd because this article is not about them but could someone post the gmp figures for the swamp last season as this would give a figure of how many go thro a clubs turnstyle againnst seats sold .it should be quite easy to give a % for saturdays and mid week games ? .from memory i think its about 5000 out of 7500 that dont attend so going off that would we expect 3000 out of 47000 as the norm of paying punters that dont attend for what ever reason ?
sorry meant 5000 out of 75,000 .the 7500 was at the end of the 6-1

I believe the GMP figures were first highlighted on the rag fan website Redsaway before it was picked up by the national press. The first figures are the actual (GMP) attendance figures and the second the rags' own 'official' figures. Standout numbers are the 43,000 empty seats v Newcastle in the League Cup, 16,000 v Southampton in the PL and just under 20,000 and 30,000 v Braga and Cluj respectively in the CL.

You lot need to stop saying this is about Man united. That's your paranoia and will lose you the argument.

The article may have had loads of clicks but the vast majority will be from City fans. Isn't the penny dropping yet?

Stopped reading this rag publication years ago I refuse the free offers when in the City Centre, do occasionally click but no longer. Its a shame for Stuart Brennan and Mike Keegan that they have to defend this buffoon Lynch who, continues to defend his article on Twitter. I've heard Peter Spencer on TalkSport having numerous underhanded digs at City, spouting inaccurate garbage that like this article, is regarded as fact by some people because they've read or heard it in the media, good news is rarely reported and so it never becomes fact. The evening news is not the only media outlet that have this MO the Mail has become a gutter rag as well obcessed with Justin Bierber and One Direction they have now started using pictures and videos from the OS

The guy clearly has no intention of retracting anything or issuing anything remotely like an apology - in fact he seems to be wallowing in it. He has used the venereal organ of the the MUEN to express in a low down and underhand way his deep seated bitterness towards us.

The buck stops with the MUEN and the editorial charges for letting it through

Which is why I cut & pasted it as I didn't want any more people than necessary clicking on it. People still don't understand this concept, like the idiots who congratulate themselves for ringing Talksport and putting the presenter right, not realising this is exactly what they want as it makes them money.

Even with SBs acknowledgement regarding the lack of research and accuracy the article is still on the MEN website.

As has been said by PB and others hold your hands up and say sorry it wasnt upto the standards you would expect for the MEN and pull it.

But it is upto the standards of the MEN so they will just carry on.
