Vpn's and the like are really just methods to hide your true identity online.
For example i could purchase a malaysian vpn now and pay with an anonymous system, i would log into that from another anon vpn twice over.
You would have a pretty hard time tracking a person using such a method let alone know where they actually are via geoip.

These are basic methods of security/anonymity if you need them.
I just assumed these fellas would have loads of vpn accounts all over the place as a tool for security and would be familiar with using them.
They cost a few quid a month at most, sod all to the M.E.N.
