Fair enough, but why's inconveniencing other motorists causing them to drive slower and waste more fuel causing them to lose more money? doesn't make sense to me but anyway...
i'm not agreeing with the fuel protest, i'm saying that something needs to be done to stop the government fleecing us on vat on fuel

I agree, it's not the fuel companies doing it, it's the Government.

The Labour Government are taking the piss 2bh.

why not close off the birch services with a police convoy and stop them?

why should they inconvenience thousands of other people when next thursday they can change the politics of our government anyway?

Are you sure?
We're that fucked none of them can reduce tax.

Let's all protest, block all the roads. Come on comrades.

I am glad I'm going on the train today though;-)

when fuel was at £1 a litre, experts estimated that 75p of that was tax going to the government. So now its at £1.22p a tile, that figure will be nearer 90-95p in every litre we fill up with. its a total disgrace.

They're just having something to eat before they set off.

Thats the problem with any kind of civil action, it has to have an impact for people to take an interest.

It would be typically "English" to have a public demonstration, but not have it make to much of a fuss!! Were too polite, if we were French we would be out throwing sheep and setting fire to lorries.

Its the "English" mentality. Governments can tax the beJesus out of us, and we just get on with it; mustn't grumble, eh?

But then your team plays shite, and its "Sack the board", "Manager Out", "Hang the Chairman" etc etc and you have running riots with the plod in the streets outside the ground.

Were an odd bunch us English.

Its unlucky this demo has coincided with todays game, it affects me, but i say good luck to them.

£1.20.00per litre= 76p for the government....we are being drained..and we pay vat on that too..

Let's half the price of fuel then - that should finish the planet off inside 20 years! Ever growing demand from India and China means oil prices are only gonna go one way for the next 30 years - one thing you cannot blame on Gordon Brown and a few bikers protesting on a Saturday morning will change nothing.
