I'm not sure if I should be saying this or not as it may not go down too well with folks who have paid full price for forthcoming tickets.

My Mrs is a student at The University of Manchester and has just been to the Freshers Fair. There's a City Store in the Student Union selling tickets for Chelsea (£20), Juve (£10) and Newcastle (£10).

If you're thinking of going to any of the games and haven't got a ticket yet, it might be worth popping down to Oxford Road.

my sister just got me 3 for newcastle for £30. can go down and don't even need student ID for them.

happy days :D

do you have to go to manchester uni to get them my daughter goes to lancaster can she get them?

It appears that anyone who can get themselves into the Union can get one.
Throw on a Ramones t-shirt and Trilby and you're laughing.

Fuck this shit. If they're going to do this they should put it on the website or something, fucking ridiculous.

To be fair, there's no chance of them putting this on the website as it will no doubt cause a reaction similar to your own.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong but I can see what they are trying to do - 10,000 new people come to the City with a few grand in loans to spend, why not spend it at City? Who knows, we get a few new blues on board in the process by giving them a couple of cheap tickets to hook them as an intro offer.

Edit: I take that back about the website, I didn't think it was widely advertised.

To launch the group, a fantastic £10 ticket offer for our upcoming games against Juventus and Newcastle greets all new members.

So, if you're a student at Manchester and want to meet other likeminded City fans as well as enjoying some great offers, join the group or search 'Manchester City students' in Facebook.

City looking to throw tickets away at anyone quickly rather than aiming at City fans first if you ask me.

The tickets have been on sale for a while now. If people wanted them they could have got them.
