City looking to throw tickets away at anyone quickly rather than aiming at City fans first if you ask me.
The tickets have been on sale for a while now. If people wanted them they could have got them.

...for more than double the price

Not really. City are offering these tickets to students at Manchester & Salford Uni. I'm not attending any games until Scum because I'm saving for my first car etc. If I was at Manchester or Salford Uni I'd be able to chuck the £10 or £20 at City and get in easily enough however I can't chuck the £30 or £50. Now I'm not fussed it's limited to the Uni (even though it's annoying knowing they'll be Arsenal, Real Madrid, whatever fans sat in COMS watching these games on the cheap whilst I and others are sat watching Shadys streams), I am however fussed at knowing it's now likely they'll be Arsenal, Real Madrid or whatever fans sat in COMS who may not even attend Manchester or Salford Uni whilst I'm sat watching Shadys streams. For the record I attend Hopwood College, it's the last bit which bugs me.

I studied abroad at UM back in 2008 and they were doing 10 pound tickets for most home games back then. This isn't something new.

I think its good that they are reaching out to other parts of the community. Hell, those tickets are what got me going to City games

They've been doing it for years and we've probably gained some decent fans through it. Was at the union today and there were alot of people interested. They do alot for the community in and around Manchester, no point in staying still if there's still tickets to sell.

I'll go over to Salford on Friday if what gaudinho has said is true! ;o)
I'm at Hopwood College so not at Uni yet, I'll be able to pass myself off as a Salford student though unless they ask for I.D.

What they're trying to do is to increase the number of supporters of the club. This sort of thing is ideal - students will go on to earn higher wages after they graduate; some students are from cities other than Manchester, so we get supporters from outside our area. I don't see what the problem is.
