Manchester to Newcastle - Train cancellations on Sunday

Yea it's 24 hours mate, and we was coming on train as well, but I booked car park yesterday, since found out that Northern and Transpennine are not involved in this strike............yet.

If they are running we will come in on train though.
Yeah; just checked. East Midlands also operate a service, and they're not on the list. But they're balloting in mid sept.

How will we even know if Northern join the strike?

Wonder how many will get put on the exchange now ? I bought two for family this morning leaving two for a sell out

Northern and TPE seem to be falling apart on the days around the strikes mate. Had a cancelled TPE train with the next one delayed on Tuesday and two Northern Rail trains cancelled when I eventually got to Oxford Road. Ended up getting the taxi.

Northern drivers (Aslef) won't be able to strike.
They have to do the ballot for strike again due to management getting an injunction blocking the result of the first vote. Same happened at TPE.
Northern drivers vote is not now due back until 25th August. So earliest strike day would then be 14 days after that.
