Ok, so what's the thinking on this based on that rag shambles yesterday? Apologies if it's already been covered, not trawling through every post. Will they react and give everything, especially being a derby. Have they the ability to react? Or is their confidence shattered and they cannot produce the goods. I think this will be harder than a few think. Get the 3 pts and that is all. Bit of a cliche, but the first goal is vital especially early on. I don't they'll crumble but we can control them then.

This is something I can’t get my head around.

Surely sitting by yourself and waiting to hear the score is much worse for the nerves.

Also, man up and watch the fucking thing.

Haha! Like I said, it would be the first Derby I wanted to dodge. Nervous as fuck, and it’s the wait between these games that’s killing me, more than anything. No doubt I won’t be able to stay away from it anyway. ;)

I can never get my head round who hates who more.

Rags v dips I'd be all over a dips win.

Think it's all out of proportion, match going rags hate us, plastic local/abroad have it in for the dips.

I expect a hostile atmos on Wednesday until we score then they will turn on thier own.

They’ll have had a rocket from the manager of the season so will probably come out firing. If we get the first though the bubble will burst.
I rather fancy there will be rallying cries from more than just OGS, think a certain Baconface will have some input.

I’m not having any of the fact that their players have downed tools.

The reality is that they’re a shit side who had the ‘new manager bounce’ and now reality has kicked in and they’ve gone back to being shite.

They were completely outplayed by Watford, West Ham and Everton and there was sod all they could do about it.

The only way we fail to win this game is by either our lads having an off-day or the ref.

This team seldom let's us down when the stakes are high. They don't get much higher than they are on Wednesday as the league is at stake. Sure United are the poorest of the top 6 this year and were abysmal at Everton. Can they turn that around against us in 2.5 days? They were 19 points behind last year, this year its 22 now. Of course there will be more effort, let's face it, it would be difficult to be that useless twice in a row. Matic looked like he was towing a caravan (GN) and Dalot was appalling at centre half as was Lindelhof at full back. French kid on the wing didn't look arsed and tey had 1 shot on target in the 86th minute. Not sure what changes Noddy will make or why Lingard or Sanchez didn't play. They'll be hurt by the criticism and storm out of the blocks I reckon. However we are by far the superior side. I believe well let them huff and puff for 10 minutes then slowly force them back until they're just playing on the break. If we can get in front 1st half they will become increasingly desperate in the second but won't have the know how or finesse to get at us. I see us catching them on the counter late on at least once and it ending 0 - 2.

We all know the adage about a wounded animal.

I think KDB knew his season was over when he tweaked his knee. Gutted.
This game is absolutely massive, all those who say there isn’t an agenda against us and for the dipper vermin better watch the officiating at this game. It will be comical. We will be hacked, pushed & pulled without punishment.
They’ll have been taking lessons from the collapsing Egyptian, going down at the slightest touch.
WE are the underdog in this match, every dipper cünt and media fanny want the rags to win. Only WE can upset the Apple cart.
We have to go there and produce a WINNING display, I don’t care how we do it, just win. It will give the team such a morale and confidence boost.
1 game at a time.
I very much doubt we go there as the underdog, irrespective of what the media push out

These rag cünts wont be as easy as some people are making out.
THIS is a derby match. Form etc goes out the window.
If we defend as we should, and take our chances, we should come away with a win. We have more than enough class to win this, but like I said, it’s never a sure thing!
Be professional, play our game and punish them when we can.
1-2 CITY.

Pogshite is no where near Yaya. Even in his latter years.

*physically* like yaya. Last year in the derby he held off two city players at a time because of his size, strength, and skill on the ball.

The responses to this one comment have reminded me why I don't post on here anymore. You can't say anything without one eyed puritan trolls jumping on you for something you never said.

Oh I hope so!

We lost the one off big games vs Spurs and Liverpool and this will be like those games. Totally unpredictable and on paper very difficult. We all know this. It will take a supreme effort and this time we need some luck. We are owed big time.

Why do you think it’d be almost a nothing game for them? They’re at the bottom of the chasing pack for a top 4 place - it’s possible they could be relying on the Chelsea win but that’s a risky strategy. If they fail to make top 4 it would be a disaster for the Rags both financially and otherwise.
If any club can survive a season out of the CL it is the rags. I don’t think it is a disaster for them financially, in some respects being out of it allows them to clear out expensive underperforming players, like Rob Jones.

To any of our resident United fans/lurkers, what team do you think you’ll put out on Wednesday? I’m guessing something like this, but could be miles off...

De Gea
Young
Lindelof
Smalling
Shaw
Matic
McTominay
Pogba
Lingard
Sanchez
Rashford
Solskjaer is sentimental so he'll play McTominay, Lingard and Rashford because "they know what it means" and hope that pays off.

I hope Smalling and especially Jones start at the back, Sergio will have him pulling all sorts of faces.

As much as the they will raise their game due to it being a derby, well... so will we.
And Ole publicly stating players in the team are not a part of the future of the club, can't exactly be terrific for morale.

I think we'll thrash them. The speed of our attack against their very slow and static defense ought to make for a fun day.
