If Arse can produce so many chances then of course we can.Sorry, I don't mean to sound defeatist and of course I dearly hope I am wrong, but I think we'll lose this.
They are pretty solid defensively, especially at OT. They haven't lost there in 40 odd games now and have conceded very few goals. I think we'll struggle to break them down, as we have done for the last 3 or 4 games. But they are much more potent in attack than the last few sides we've faced and will not be quite so wasteful I fear. So I think we'll have all the possession, but create few clear cut chances and struggle to score. And I think they will create even fewer chances, but they will be solid ones, and they'll take them. I think we'll lose 2-1. Sorry lads, but that's how I see it.
It is possible (though I don't see it) that Maureen will decide it's a must-win game and will therefore be more attack minded (and open). If he does that, I think we'll stuff them. But I don't think he will. He'll imo think that an 8 point gap is rescuable and better to be 8 points back than risk losing and being 11 points back. He'll be his usual defensively-minded self I think.
I really hope it doesn't pan out like this, since I'll probably end up throwing things around the room and be in a shocking mood for a week.
At 2–nill up the rags went defensive and still relied on the keeper to rescue them.
It’s all about our tempo and of course taking our chances. I believe we will.
