We barely managed West Ham at home, we'll need the full squad with a top performance for the 3 points here. United will know this could be the season if they can't take points off us at home they will be motivated.

I don’t at all think it’s an easy game, but I think we are so much better than them

So do I.

But they are at home and I don't think we are in the best of form. Also, Mourinho is an expert (sorry, but he is) at setting his team up to frustrate and nullify opponents, and they have a superb keeper, which doesn't help. We can cite the chances Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs created, but look at the results. None of them got more than a point.

They do have a good defensive set up, but it is not the back 10 that we have been facing, so there is definitely opportunities to get through them, as Arsenal did repeatedly, and around it, but the balls from the wings have to be put in quickly.

It will be a good test, both on the field and the aftermath. Whether we win or lose, it will tell us something about the team. If we win, then it is the second major marker we will have put down, and puts us further ahead in the League. If we lose, then we will see exactly what kind of unity, team spirit and ability there is within the squad to cope with the demands of a brutal 4 weeks to come.

ALL the pressure is on United on their patch and a potential 11 point gap. They will be out of the blocks quickly and they will be trying to hound us off the ball as quickly and powerfully as possible to both get the fans going and unsettle us. If we weather the first 15 minutes without conceding and can play our way into the rhythm of the event, the game should be controlled by us. From there, it is up to us.

I expect to see a tight defence, a quick breaking selection and plenty of height in the United team. For us, barring injuries in the Ukraine or in training, the team picks itself.

Definitely the biggest derby since the 1-0 at our place when VK scored the header.

I think they'll surprise us and go absolutely balls out pressing maniacally and hoping to unsettle us and get an early lead.

We don't really face a proper press and we haven't see if we can cope with one.

They've got some nippy fuckers who could cause us some grief a la their first 2 at Arsenal.

They'll also go very aerial. Throwing everything into the box. Again something we don't really face and don't know if we can handle.

They'll also be looking to exploit us at corners, which in fairness, is pretty fucking easy.

I think we'll need to score 2 to get something out of the game.

I think we will.
I see I should have just said “+1” and not wasted my time posting the above!

It's important we don't concede an early goal to them, they won't be an easy side to break down.
If we get the first goal then we can pick them off as they chase the game

I think Napoli away showed that we can cope, and it also showed how long a team (and a much fitter one) can maintain such a press. Whether we are as comfortable without Stones remains moot. However, Arsenal's inability to include the goalkeeper in their passing frame was arguably what cost them the second goal; we have and will use that option, which would stretch that lot.

Agree with the aerial and expect them to go to ground looking for free kicks out wide.

No Pogba and have just seen Michael Oliver is ref. My word.
