So if players like Kompany , silva , Kun turn round and ask for a transfer as they don't get on with bob

who goes bob or the players

which forces certain peoples hands
The players go.

The day the players start dictating the manager, is the day we become Chelsea.
NO player (or manager) is bigger than the club.

One of the reasons for United's success is that the players KNEW who was boss. Rightly or wrongly, what Ferguson said was gospel.
Some call it bullying, and there's a good case for that. Others call it firm leadership, and there's an equally good case for that.
But when you count their trophies... I think I'd opt for a 'firm leader' every day of the week.
Joe Mercer was a firm leader but he knew when to put his arm round a player who needed it. That's the issue with Mancini. If a few malcontents are causing problems then I'd agree but when you get players like Vinny, Zab and Magic Dave kicking off then there's clearly something wrong.

Are we still running that comp where the prize is to sit in on Mancini's presser for the Norwich game? If so that will be a cracker for the lucky winner...

Pellegrini will not only win the league he will put city on the champions final, I will not be surprise if he does.. Im a Universidad Catolica fan, he was the manager between 94-96 and that team is one of the best of all times. I know Pellegrini from his beginnings and he has evolved, mature and improved his tactics all these years in Europe. His is good on long Tournaments. I can ensure you he will win the league if the City buys what he's asking for... City fan are so lucky they should be happy I wish time goes by fast so He can come back to Catolica in Chile, we need him here...

When have Zab and Silva kicked off? Not doubting it at all- but I just must have missed it completely, so am intrigued..

Mancini is well respected in Italian football and if released by City would have no trouble finding another high-profile job in Europe. He has garnered a reputation for producing industrious players that are well-organised defensively and tough to break down.

The problem with Mancini, however, is that he can sometimes act (and speak) before he weighs up a situation. Ever since Ronaldo's late goal in Madrid, his abrasive man-management style has caused ongoing tensions within the City team dressing-room. To quote Ian Ladyman:
"[Mancini] has spent much of this campaign arguing privately and publicly with Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and Samir Nasri... The City manager has also argued behind the scenes with executive staff. His habit of complaining in press conferences that the board let him down on transfers last summer has also ruffled feathers."
In addition to this, Mancini has allegedly fallen out with popular players such as James Milner, Nigel de Jong and Micah Richards. Asked about the manager's future, Pablo Zabaleta offered a less-than-enthusiastic endorsement. "It's not our decision. As players we need to be focused on what we do now and we will see what happens with Roberto in the future."

On the footballing side, Mancini's tactics in key matches have been questionable to say the least with the City players visibly confused by the switch to 3-5-2 against Borussia Dortmund. Going forward, Bobby plays a possession focused game, making sure his creative midfielders probe for spaces to invite defences out-of-position and then take advantage with a sneaky though-ball. Unfortunately, this season, opposition defences have routinely 'snuffed out' the killer pass by compacting the central area with wing-backs. City are given space in wide areas where they are less intimidating.

I wish some of our fans would open their eyes and see Pellegrini in the same light.

It's going to be awkward for Mancini before and after the Reading game if no news is released before tomorrow.

I do think he will see the season out, but surely City should announce something sooner than later to ease the questions asked towards Mancini tomorrow.

I almost pissed myself few minutes ago seeing someone comparing him to United's appointment of Moyes.

Iknow loads of Chelsea,Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Barcelona, Madrid etc.. fans who were hoping to get Pellegrini as their new manager.

He is one of most sought for and widely popular managers on the world at the moment and yet people here are presenting him like he is Curbishley.

Mental.

If it all gets confirmed today, questions will be straight forward and Mancini's answers will be straight forward, if nothing is released, Mancini will be hiding away from what he real answers leaving the Journo's to keep drilling him with questions that he does not want to answer.

It would be unfair to say the least.

Yep, I think we can all agree that he's a bit of a dick. If he's a genuine blue who thought that writing MUST in big red letters was the way forward he's a dick, if he's a rag after a bit of attention he's a dick. I suppose sometimes you just can't escape being a dick...and that's talking from experience! Haha!

I've used different colors, including bolded red, to highlight points in a post. Yes its a shit color, but it stands out amongst the others. Hell, I've been called a rag on here no fewer than 20 times simply because my name has the word "red" in it, despite my screen name being used since the infancy of the internet in the early 90's as a play on spelling de-thread.

I know they are rampant on here sometimes and have no fucking lives (especially today since it'll be too wet to watch a parade), but calling a blue a rag is pretty shitty.
