Why can't they just sack him? Do we have to wait for a replacement?
I think you're right on that Marvin. Do it and get it over with. The only thing I can think of is that lawyers are involved in sorting out the details and they can't do anything until that's finished.

I agree that if he's going get it done now otherwise the atmosphere will deteriorate further. Personally I was convinced he'd resign before being dismissed and maybe the club felt the same (or maybe not - who knows anything these days?). Now that it seems clear it's going to happen then I'd rather it just did happen and leave Kiddo or Platt in charge for last 2 games.

If it's not going to happen then say so.

If I was the Sheikh I'd be launching an internal investigation into how the news leaked. It should be fairly easy to trace back. In the 90s Franny Lee, Frank Clark & others talked of fifth columns and so on - that all helped destabilise City then and the Sheikh cannot allow that to destabilise City now or in the future. Whether it's been leaked in Carrington, Manchester, Oldham, Trafford, or Barcelona the leak needs to be plugged. I'm sure the Sheikh will be livid.

Agreed. The deed is done. Just draw up the papers and make it official. Kidd or Platt in for the last two games otherwise it will be a bloody circus and we have had enough of that this week.

Just a word on reasons folks:

Mancini made no secret of his anger with last years transfer business and as the title slipped away he has repeated his annoyance. Recently, he has stood square against the board regarding the post season trip to America. The relationship had become difficult prior to Friday and clearly it has now got even worse.

For the last few weeks, it has looked increasingly as if Mancini would resign. Now a compromise seperation seems the most likely outcome.

Doesn't matter, as long as the objective is realised.

Give it another month and some people will forget about their pain of losing Mancini.

True as long as he does come, otherwise we'll have a clusterf@@k of Swales proportions.

Who is going to turn down PSG and Barca for us. Can't see it all.

Which is where Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon will have expected the Barca duo to have earned their money.

To secure Pellegrini will be a very impressive feat.

Especially so, when they have been working 24/7 at some of the players we intend to bring in.

Pellegrini is another dour fucking ****. Just keep Bob for fuck sake
And if we continue it'll be way under 50%. Has to be done, and a pity it wasn't done earlier

Picking fights right left and centre has consequences over time. And that's where we are now

Bobby has won silverware ten times since Pellegrini won his only trophy in europe ten years ago, the inter toto.

not much of a comparison there either is there?

Then consider which clubs they have been at and how much they have spent .

Pellegrini had a season with Madrid where he won 75% of games, which considerably brings up his percentage.

Pellegrini has spent a fortune at Malaga too.. And he fucking took Santa Cruz off us this season...

Everybody keeps going on about Mancini 'losing the players', 'the players not wanting to play for him', 'the players don't like him' etc., etc., BUT

those same players are paid an absolute fortune to play for MANCHESTER CITY, not for Mancini. So why don't they get up off their overpaid backsides and do the job they are paid to do?

I had a headteacher who nobody had any respect for, we all detested him but we didn't go in every day saying 'I'm not going to work for this guy' we had a job to do that we were paid reasonably well for and we did it. We knew that our results mattered and not just to us but to the students we taught.

So the players should know that their results matter, not just to them but to the fans and the club that pays them handsomely, no matter what they think about the manager.

As for Stuart Brennan, how long have people on here been saying that he is a closet rag? So why are you believing him now?

I knew I should have stayed away, I managed half an hour to do some housework but the pull of this flaming Bluemoon thread was toooo strong for me!!! :-)

Using that analogy, what would happen if a maths teacher was made to teach chemistry?
They would do their best, but that is not where they should be. Same as some of the players that Bobby has managed, play your players where they excell at, not try to make masters , Jacks of all trades.

Brennan, as far as i know has never been in the closet about being a rag, but he is a journalist first and foremost.

I was in a Primary school so your analogy wouldn't work there, we taught all subjects. And we taught them well because we didn't limit ourselves to one position!! I love our team to bits but apart from Zaba this season I have despaired at times.

As for Brennan, not really sure that he is a journalist!! I know a few journalists, got a couple in my own family, and they are 100 times better at their job than him.

The point still stands though, the players may be pissed off with the way he interacts with them and the way he employs their talents.

Not guaranteed though as Barca looking for a manager, Monaco and Real Madrid job vacant....we could end up with egg all over....what a F*CK UP

Getting to a position of being left with just De Boer or possibly Laudrup. Maybe even Vitor Periera.

Klopp, Ancelotti, Mourinho were pipe dreams and better more attractive jobs are available as Pellegrini could well prove.

I'd take a look at Mazzarri myself, surprised we're never linked. Bring Cavani and Inler with him - job done.
