We are less than the sum of our parts now. We can only improve if we have a manager like Pellegrini

This is exactly what Pellegrini has been for most of his career... making teams greater than the sum of their parts.

But City looked superb last season. This season less so. It's very dodgy to judge on one season, or cherry pick the good good seasons from the bad (or vice versa)... in the end you have to look at the overall picture and career success, and overall, Mancini's been more successful.

He (Mancini) clearly has faults, but so does Ferguson / Mourinho / Benitez et al. Our players have faults too - plenty of them, but on average they do pretty well.

For me, Mancini deserves another year to show his mettle. But City don't ask my opinion, they'll do as they wish (as they always have done).[/quote]

Agree with this. Should have let Mancini sort it out as that's what sets a manager apart. Easy to look good when it's going well, best managers can come back after a bad season or 2,

Manuel Pellegrini signed Roque Santa Cruz for Malaga this season. Says it all.

And he's scored 12 goals for them.

remind us how many he scored for us, and while your at it remind us what point you are making.

Mark Hughes basically got lambasted for pillar to post for signing Crocky, am I right or wrong?

We are replacing the manager who won us 2 major trophies in 3 seasons with a lad who couldn't win a trophy with Real Madrid and who's major piece of business was to sign Crocky on loan from us..

Let me put it simply, we do not need a manager who is scraping around the Crocky of this world. We want someone who can attract the best players in the world.

Do you have any idea of the financial situation at Malaga? They are being expelled from Europe cos they can't pay their bills. They signed RSC on loan cos they have no money and Pellegrini has got him scoring. At least give him credit for that, if nothing else. I am afraid you have lost the Pellegrini/RSC argument.

Sorry but this is bolox.
How? Read the MEN text of the post-match press conference. It's embarrassing

Take a look at every national and many international press outlets over the last 2 years and it's much worse.

That's her responsibility. She has failed.
That's not fair. Man Utd are the media's favourite team, and we are the noisy neighbours owned by the nasty foreigner.

It's a problem when employees performance becomes the subject of discussion on a City message board and that's a direct consequence of a manager passing the buck. He was in a difficult situation. A very very difficult one. But he put himself there.

To the ITK's,are we getting mourinho??

If bob is on his way and it looks that way,i think the only way to get the fans back onside then it's jose all the way for me..

The owners have always come across as sensible business chaps, not a scattergun between them, but i think winning the league last year was the beginning of the end, it's been a monkey on the back of roberto and the players from the first whistle against southampton and the more i think about it that performance on saturday painted a thousand pictures and said everything we needed to know, the players have quite simply give up on him!!

This club is about progression, progress this season we havn't and that has cost bobby manc...

Zzzz. We all know mourinho is the best manager we could of got in terms of bringing success. However we all know the 2 Spanish execs won't employ him and he's nailed on for Chelsea.

I hope Berigstein lets whoever the new manager is choose his own targets, because otherwise they're just a puppet. Not happy with rumours linking us with Jesus Navas either. Would be a huge flop in England.

did you say mourinho is nailed on for Barca???

You cannot stop someone having an opinion or stop them writing it. They do however warn people of legal proceedings if they write lies about the club that's why most stuff written is either true or just an "opinion"
We are not strong enough to have the slur way of just banning that would make it worse. She is briefed on what she is to do and if she wasn't doing it she would be out of a job as she isn't she is obviously fulfilling the role asked of her

Why are you afraid? I've lost plenty of arguments. I'll be alright.

Right straight question for you?

Who is the better manager, Roberto Mancini or Manuel Pellegrini?

I said words to this effect not more than a couple of months ago and was roundly lambasted. I hope everything does come out so at least those who abused me will have cause to reflect upon the things they said.

Brennan and Custis were both writing Mancini was going nowhere just recently.

Mancini has made enemies across every facet of the club over the last 12 months.

And his ridicule of Vicky Kloss is a disgrace, especially in front of her at Wembley to a small press contingent, highly embarrassing.

Firstly, she is a blue.

Secondly, she is decent at her job.

She gets told what to say and when to say it, nothing more.

I might not agree with some of City's policy towards the media, but Mancini has pissed on a lot of chips.

Yes she is a Blue, I know her and like her, but her inability to manage the press was awful, it really was - journos were given carte blanche to attack Bobby, in a way which is never allowed with bacon face, wenger, rednapp and numerous chelsea and Liverpool managers - if she cannot do the job then it should go to someone who can, and managing press conferences is a big part of her job

Not really, bud.

She is head of corporate communications, she is much higher up the food chain than a press officer these days.

Simon Heggie and others are more in charge of the pressers.

She was by his side at Wembley, but it was a cheap shot at Vicky.

Simon Pearce is perhaps more responsible for how we direct policy, and he most certainly does have the ear of our owner!

The knives are out for Pellegrini already in some corners of the media, such as the Mirror's John Cross. Let's hope the club protects our new manager better than the old one from these despicable parasites.
