Yes she is a Blue, I know her and like her, but her inability to manage the press was awful, it really was - journos were given carte blanche to attack Bobby, in a way which is never allowed with bacon face, wenger, rednapp and numerous chelsea and Liverpool managers - if she cannot do the job then it should go to someone who can, and managing press conferences is a big part of her job

This is how i see it too, it's open season on our club at every press conference and we do nothing to stop it!

I can't believe people want this sorting out quickly.

This should be left to rumble on for days if not weeks, drip feeding us snippits of information. I say this for two reasons:

Firstly, it fills the back pages, takes up airtime and generally keeps them and Ferguson out of the limelight.

Secondly, and more importantly, It's fucking fantastic entertainment. Reading, listening and watching!!!

But City looked superb last season. This season less so. It's very dodgy to judge on one season, or cherry pick the good good seasons from the bad (or vice versa)... in the end you have to look at the overall picture and career success, and overall, Mancini's been more successful.

He (Mancini) clearly has faults, but so does Ferguson / Mourinho / Benitez et al. Our players have faults too - plenty of them, but on average they do pretty well.

For me, Mancini deserves another year to show his mettle. But City don't ask my opinion, they'll do as they wish (as they always have done).

Agree with this. Should have let Mancini sort it out as that's what sets a manager apart. Easy to look good when it's going well, best managers can come back after a bad season or 2,[/quote]

From Christmas up and till those last 6 games we were shite.

How? Read the MEN text of the post-match press conference. It's embarrassing

Take a look at every national and many international press outlets over the last 2 years and it's much worse.

That's her responsibility. She has failed.
That's not fair. Man Utd are the media's favourite team, and we are the noisy neighbours owned by the nasty foreigner.

It's a problem when employees performance becomes the subject of discussion on a City message board and that's a direct consequence of a manager passing the buck. He was in a difficult situation. A very very difficult one. But he put himself there.

why?

she was in the very same room and allowed it to happen......

The knives are out for Pellegrini already in some corners of the media, such as the Mirror's John Cross. Let's hope the club protects our new manager better than the old one from these despicable parasites.
Our new manager? Getting too far ahead?

Yet she's not only still got a job, but she has been made a director. Much like Marwood, someone else who half this forum thinks is incompetent. Yet Mancini's been given his marching orders. Surely that's proof enough that maybe, just maybe, Mancini isn't as good as you think he is and Kloss isn't as bad as you think she is.

You cannot stop someone having an opinion or stop them writing it. They do however warn people of legal proceedings if they write lies about the club that's why most stuff written is either true or just an "opinion"
We are not strong enough to have the slur way of just banning that would make it worse. She is briefed on what she is to do and if she wasn't doing it she would be out of a job as she isn't she is obviously fulfilling the role asked of her

I would love to see that job description.

MBO #1 Make us the laughing stock of the league by giving the press carte blanch.

Brennan and Custis were both writing Mancini was going nowhere just recently.

Mancini has made enemies across every facet of the club over the last 12 months.

And his ridicule of Vicky Kloss is a disgrace, especially in front of her at Wembley to a small press contingent, highly embarrassing.

Firstly, she is a blue.

Secondly, she is decent at her job.

She gets told what to say and when to say it, nothing more.

I might not agree with some of City's policy towards the media, but Mancini has pissed on a lot of chips.

Sorry but this is bolox.

Not sure how I managed to miss that, but I've just read a Q&A with Mancini where there's some criticism:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/mancini-unleashes-wrath-citys-pr-3661001" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... pr-3661001</a>

I'm definitely not Mancini's biggest fan but he is absolutely right in what he says.

The PR team at City is lightweight - not fit for purpose. I'm sure Vicky Kloss is very good at her job, but she should be marshaling press conferences like a headmistress. It's not just Mancini that has been afforded very, very little protection from the press within the City camp, there are plenty of others too.

In saying all that, if he/others have treated her badly behind the scenes, then I don't blame her.

Either way the entire club needs a complete PR rethink. PR starts at the top and strategy needs to be discussed with everyone concerned right from the Sheikh in Abu Dhabi, to that gurning kit-man who pops up on Inside City videos every now and then.
