Lets be Brutally honest. Mancini has been hung out to dry by the two Amigos.
My guess is he probably wishes he's left last summer.

I don't care if they like him or not. This is unfair to your supporters at this point, and the owners have an obligation to the people they want money from. I'm not being unreasonable either and suggesting anything crazy like they should consult fans about hiring a manager or something nonsensical. They do however have an obligation to act professionally and not make decisions based on petty vendettas.

And if that's not the case and people are coming to incorrect conclusions, it's the club's own damn fault for sitting their silently.

Yes, City should've spoken to Mancini on Saturday morning, or even Friday night when Khaldoun was with the team and manager. However City cannot control whats written in the Spanish media. That media wrote in February we'd agreed a deal with Pellegrini and we didn't address it then. Why would we suddenly address the exact same story a few months later. We had set the precedent. The fact that is roundly ignored is that the press have asked Mancini several times in the last few months "have you spoken to Khaldoun about your future" - and every single time he's answered "no I don't have to - why should I i have a 5 year contract". Well you should because you're getting arsey about people asking you about the speculation and the only person who can put it to bed privately at least is the chairman.

Mancini knew he was going. Has known for a while. But he's chosen to play dumb. That's his business, but beyond the 24 hour FA Cup period where I believe City should've told him he was done at the end of the season, they haven't done much else wrong in the last four or five months.

I feel like history is being rewritten slightly because a fans favourite has been sacked.

An organisation that didn't go and get the manager of the 2011/2012 premier league champions the players he identified to kick the club on to compete on two fronts.

An organisation that let him be dismantled by journos the night of an F.A cup final loss.

An organisation that will replace him with a dour tactician who hasn't won a trophy in a decade.

A manager that had the number of Sir Alex Ferguson. Who won the league ahead of the schedule set out for him by the very same organisation.

Put opinions on the manager aside, is everyone at least in agreement that this fucking stinks?

Again it begs the question, why would they do that if everything is rosey in the garden?
Save your bile until the facts come out.

The facts will probably never come out and even if they did, those who have canonised Mancini would just refuse to believe them anyway.

He may well deserve the sack (personally I'd have given him another year but unlike some I'm not privy to what goes on behind the scenes ;) ) The way this has been handled doesn't reflect well on anyone though. It's exactly the same as the Hughes debacle and there were plenty of people sympathetic to him for being put in that situation and he was shite.

This situation is reflecting horribly on our club, making the directors seem amateur and it's not fair on the man who brought us our first silverware since well before I was born. If, as has been suggested in this thread, he's being hung out to dry because he's pissed some people off then those people want the sack for putting personal differences ahead of the image of the club.

Mancini knows what's going on. Only a deluded idiot can't put the pieces together.

After his last press conference, the club hierarchy are probably wondering why they didn't just boot him a few hours after the final. They didn't want to pull a Roman. Unfortunately that's the way sackings are handled for a reason.

I think that if Mancini doesn't handle this with dignity the facts might come out. If he starts attacking the club the club will sanction a few leaks or interviews which will put him back in his box.

This is what I want us to avoid: a messy sacking. I hope a deal is done, a payoff agreed and everyone agrees a formal or informal non-disclosure.

I can't see how any party will gain from a war of words.

It will be done in peace.

Mancini and his camp are not stupid, they'll go as far as they could, they know it's not recommended to go over the line.
