Well, it was nice while it lasted, at least we are familair with this feeling of our club being a joke

I think what we might be witnessing is the transistion into the model of how the club is going to be ran from the training academy upto the manager.

However it has not been handled well and I don't think the blame can be put on the club, there are other factors at work here considering the relationship between Soriano and a certain few in Spain

More from Brennan:

Mancini quick to blame Marwood regarding the transfers but there is another side to that story that is yet to be told. Marwood throughout has maintained a dignified silence.

The board did not want to spend that kind of money on Hazard.

There is quite a bit to come out yet about things that have gone on behind the scenes but of course cannot be said whilst he is still in the job. There won't be an awful lot of tears shed by the playing staff at City to see him go.

You just have this vision of Mancini running in through one door, chased by Begiristain, as Pelligrini runs out trouserless through another, with Vicky Kloss standing there in her suspenders.
Brilliant! Are you Brian Rix?!?

That's worrying, he's arguably already been worth it for what he's provided at his age. If they couldn't see that it doesn't bode well for future transfers.

Eden Hazard vs Marwood's Dignified Silence - A tough one i'll grant you, but after consideration i'm edging towards Hazard

Funnily enough someone said I did look a lot like him.

Anyway, it all looks a bit messy at the moment but I'm sure it won't be too long before we're taking giant steps forward again. We're City - we've been here before and we'll take it on the chin, laugh about it and move on as we always do.

Nope they were Brennans words - just heard it on phone-in via TS

Sounds like a shit storm is brewing on this now

Sick of all this cloak and dagger shit. Will someone just let us know whats going on. We've now got a journalist saying theres loads going on behind the scenes but nothing can be said until he leaves. Since when as this stopped any jounalist with all the other shit reported i'm sure there would be no problem adding this to the fire.
Love him or loathe him, given he works for a provincial paper and City are important for his livelihood, I'd wager Brennan would not want to be rocking the boat unnecessarily - unless of course he is being briefed to do so by his paymasters.

Excellent. He wouldn't want to sail into stormy seas by revealing what he knows.

mmmm..it must be coming from somewhere because a statement like that will need to be answered at some point

Clearly he's being briefed to drip information out while the club continues to be silent.

The club can't say anything now, it would look even more ridiculous than not saying anything on Friday or yesterday.

Wasn't that Graham Rix they were comparing you to?

Will a tin-hat help me survive a direct strike from a banhammer?

Looks like Marwood is maintaining a dignified silence as Kloss lets one rip.

I know fuck all, but I guarantee you I know more than Stuart Brennan.

So care to enlighten us all the exact facts on this sad and sorry escapade ?

Quite ... the level of denial is reaching epic proportions. What was it mutley said the other day - we should be worried about Bobby walking away and not us firing him. Arf.

This is a fuck up by City for not getting this done quickly and quietly, but as Brennan says, when the truth finally begins to filter out about Mancini and his time at City, nobody will be surprised he was sacked and i suspect even his most ardent supporters will acknowledge him going was best for the long term future of the club.

Now fucking get over with already City. I've got a thread about "bunting" just for Bob Kowalski and a few others ready to go!

- No - no news yet

Meanwhile there are cries of "infamy, infamy... they've all got it 'in for me'!" from Carrington.

Why can't they just sack him? Do we have to wait for a replacement?

According to the Working Time Directive - you are overdue a break. Go and put your feet up for 20 mins.

I think you're right on that Marvin. Do it and get it over with. The only thing I can think of is that lawyers are involved in sorting out the details and they can't do anything until that's finished.
