You've got it bang on mate.

There is nothing the club could do differently about this. It's just moral high grounding and blame gaming which diverts from the key fact.

The hierarchy have decided that Mancini isn't the man for the club. A brave and, I believe, correct decision.

Brave. Its bleeding heroic. I can see Ferran and Txiki hanging round outside Mancini's office nudging each other and whispering

"Go on you tell him?"
"Me boss? I'm not telling him its your idea"
"Hmm. Tell you what lets wait until after the cup final he'll be in better mood then hopefully. Now are you sure no one knows that we have Pellegrini lined up? No one saw you lunching with his agent last week?"
"Its cool boss. I used a disguise. No one suspects a thing."
"Excellent. Nothing can wrong. We win the cup. Tell Roberto he's out and then put out a short statement. All very professional. The Sheikh will be pleased. Come Txiki our work is done here. Lunch?"
"Great boss! Can I...?"
"Yes Txiki you can wear the disguise. A nuns outfit you say. Ingenious Txiki. Very ingenious."

I don't think they've come out of this as as cowards, do you?

"I don't report to them. I only report to Khaldoon." he smirked.

Bang. On your bike, Bobby. Learn a bit of fucking respect.

Well lets hope the next manager is a "yes sir,no sir, three bags full sir" kinda guy..

What you mean is a manager who respects the structure of the hierarchy at the club and more importantly respects the people in those positions rather than publicly bashing them whenever he doesn't get his own way.

Yaah, let's hope it doesn't work out like the last manager they hired. What a disaster he turned out to be.

It is a massive decision for the club to sack Mancini however I thing getting rid of him would be the best solution for the club.

If I'm being honest based on Mancini's tenure and what he has achieved so far then he probably does deserve another year in charge to try and put things right. However with United and Chelsea both changing their managers then perhaps now is the best time for us to change rather than a year down the line when both Moyes and Mourinho are both settled.

Also if/when Mancini does get the sack then he has most definitely brought it on himself. He never learns from his previous mistakes. Tactically we always fuck up against Stoke, Everton, Liverpool and Sunderland. Also the defeat against Wigan in the final summed everything about Mancini up. After getting totally outplayed against Wigan at home a few week ago he did nothing to change the team to counter their threat.

It is not just tactics he does not learn from. After the way the whole Tevez sage was handled out in public then you would have thought he would have learnt to have dealt with problems in private. But he still slagged of Marwood, Kloss and numerous other playing and boardroom staff in public.

Bringing in Pellegrini could be the best move we can make. He will be the man to set the blueprint for our very own footballing philosophy. Tactically he is one of the best managers in the business and the job he has done at Malaga and Villarreal was top drawer. I have said before that in order for us to successfully challenge United, Real, Bayern and Barca we need everyone to be moving in the same direction and Mancini's confrontational approach meant that was never going to happen.

Finally while I think Mancini should go I do think the way this has all been handled has been poor. Whilst I don't necessarily think the board have done anything wrong, I do think after the cup final they should have put the record straight and said Mancini will leave at the end of the season. That way Bobby would have got the send off from the fans he deserves and the situation could have been handled more amicably.

If you need a banner making, please contact the loon outside the Etihad. :-?

Maybe Mancinis first line of reporting is Khaldoon, Txiki works alongside the manager and Ferran concentrates on the business side of things.

I've not been over the top in my posts and don't put words in my mouth, please.

I happen to like Mancini and as this is a board for posting opinions I will used it as a forum to voice my support for a man who I feel is being despicably treated. If they want rid, fair enough. But do it with dignity.

I think you may have misread may post, i used the wrong word concerning your post, then said that
" some on here are getting hysterical.
I have read posts that the owner is a "soulless ****" and that posters are done with City if Mancini goes".
That did not include you.

You lumped me in with that "some on here". You were reacting to my posts and used that as a reference point in your argument. Please do not do that again.

I did try to be nice with my retraction of the use of "Bile" concerning you, nevermind.
The point is, we had the same meltdown with Sven's and Hughes sackings, it will all blow over and City will go marching on.
"Today's news and tomorrow's fish and chip's wrappings", calm down ;)

Bet some twat does

Plenty of neutered rags will ring in pretending to be Blues, you can spot them a mile away.

Anyone reckon that cavendish lot are behind the rag with the must effort at the Etihad?

Have we learnt nothing from the past. In previous times the people in charge did things badly, and again it's same. If they are getting rid of Mancini ( and I don't think we should ) then do it and not drag it out. Be professional and tell Mancini to his face NOW!
I say to all you out there who think Mancini should go remember this "be careful what YOU wish for".

My wish is simple - great things for my club.
The owners want great things for my club.
No player or Manager is bigger than my club.

To compare this ownership with past regimes is just plain ridiculous.

Bobby's a hero to me for tearing that banner down, but there's a war to be won and there will be collateral damage along the way.

TRUST our owners.

Maybe better press and interview sanctions should be put in place if that's the case?

Whether what Mancini says is right or wrong isn't as worrying as the fact he's allowed to say it.

...

In making their move? No. I thought they would give it another 12 months before getting their man in so I don't have an issue - in fact kudos for doing it early. It was your use of the word 'brave' which tickled me. Getting their man is a politically sound move but it isn't brave.

The way they have done though is ripe for much ridicule...

Remember where you were Dave excactly 1 year ago to the minute today..

What a fucking disaster that day turned into..

Maybe I'm not as hard faced as some fans who don't mind how this has played and the diabolical way in which it has panned out. Some say it can't be controlled.

We have hung him out to dry - pure and simple. The players, some execs etc.

He deserved better, he has actually done well for us and it should have been handled better with a level of dignity. If it was some peoples way of showing him up then that lacks class.

I hope we learn lessons here and all the PR department, execs etc get their shit in order and start putting things right.

I'm excited for the new season. Let get the new guy in. Just gutted there is a large break before the season starts. Fuck it suppose there's the Ashes and some Aussie baiting

BINGO!!!

If someone really thinks that his words in last 2-3 days are not well planned behaviour then lol.. or that he was shocked and surprised by Friday news, come on.. eeeez football, you should know how contract negotiations things are being done

His words and acts in these days can bring him additional million or two and you can bet your house that everything he says is something pre-oordinated with his camp.

agreed

but that works both ways

and as we the ones pushing him out then the onus is on us to agree the deal and move him on in a nice smooth stage-managed exit

not like this amateurish shit-storm

Not really sure who is pushing someone to be honest. It might well be that Mancini was pushing the club through whole the seasonto sack him so he can get 7-8 millions and then get another job at Monaco or somewhere else.

But whatever it is I know which side I'm going to take and that's not handsome Bobby's one.
