Great interview from Mancini. Dropping pipebombs all the way through. And If they wanted to get rid of Mancini anyway, why give him a 5 year contract? I think he deserves one last chance at the cookie. That's the least we could do after the success he has bought to the Etihad.

i adore mancini even more for this:

You’re still popular with the fans, do you think that will help you keep your job?

This is normal because we won. I don’t think there will ever be another manager who will win 6-1 at Old Trafford against Ferguson. I was the first manager who, after 30 years, took the banner from Old Trafford. We won one Premier League, we won one FA Cup, one Charity Shield. For this reason, I am very popular with the supporters. I love them, they love me. I am very happy for this. If I leave the club, I will be the first supporter of Manchester City in the future. Now, I can say nothing. I don’t know whether it’s true or not.

agree 100000000000000000000000000000000% FOZA MANCHINI..

A piss poor CL campaign maybe?

But when Mancini was appointed everybody was aware of his forays into the CL. He hadn't taken a decent Inter side into the latter stages, and Mourinho did. Why appoint then if there was a question mark over him? I think the CL is the excuse they are hanging the sacking on! If they sack Mancini because of a poor CL, they backed the wrong horse in the first place and they are culpable.

And I don't rate the last two years in the CL as an unmitigated disaster. We would have qualified the first season had we been in a few other groups, and last season we were stitched up by the shitehawks at Uefa, and but for a couple of inexplicable seconds at the Bernabeu we would have done the might Real. Defeat on that day cannot be laid at Mancini's door!

HE IS 48 YEARS OLD!"!! the club/team have had 2 (two) CL runs.. ffs 10 Paints first time round.. and this time round two semi finalist & 1 finalist (the other finalist we beat last year) ffs
No place for reasoning or common sense in here mate. GTFO!

Marwood in bed with Vicky Kloss to stitch up bobby!

The way the club have handled this is a complete shambles, either back him or sack him.
To let this just drift along is bang out of order,if we go into Tuesdays game like this then heads have to roll.

has he inferred that it's suited kloss and the club to have him slated in the press as they want him out

There have been several instances, noted on this forum, over the last couple of seasons, where the lack of a robust and visible response from the MCFC PR wallahs to some of the more outrageous shite we've seen directed at a club and a manager, has raised a few questions as to why we allow such nonsense to continue! i think we still await some of the answers from our PR department!

it is same old city, espec the fans, how many times did we call for the head of the manager in past, and how many times did it actually work?, there will be a lot of ppl with egg on their faces.
the cheski disease, dont get what we want, then out the door, revolving door managers here we come again

Sacking people in football is just a fact of life. But allowing the rumours to rumble on for months is just shocking.

Lie to keep calmness and sack someone coldly and cleanly at the right time. You don't have to work in PR to know that.

Am I still allowed to say Forza Mancini...

I see Malaga did well tonight at home!

If this is happening, and it is pellegrini, which it clearly is, it's a decision that has been made people who have been involved in football inside out for a number of years, and were around at Barca for some of their most successful years.

Though on here I have questioned Mancini, I always said only move for a genuine upgrade. I have always supported him, and the team at the games. No point in making comments about Malaga if he does come- you support the club, not just Mancini.

Not aimed at you mate- but just because we have apparently made this decision, it doesn't mean it is 'typical city'. These are guys who know football inside out- they are pretty qualified, to be fair. (Though the way it has been handled, and the timing has been shocking)
