I definitely think some players have been hard done by under Mancini. Ade being the stand out candidate. The way Adebayor was brought on in the home derby in Mancini's first full season in the 93rd minute was intended to humiliate him in my view. Thing is Mancini seems like a nice guy, and he's amongst the most likeable managers in the Premier League along with Martinez, he's got a good sense of humour and fits in well with our club, but I think there is a nasty side too and he's too hot tempered to think rationally at times. He should never do immediate post-match interviews because he's still in the heat of battle. Let Platt do them instead. Mancini is a winner so it's important to have that fire in his belly but it's led to some stupid moments about players i.e. his comments about Balotelli after Arsenal. I also think he got himself into hot water over Tevez. Whilst I 100% back Mancini over Tevezgate, a calmer, more rational Mancini would have taken some time before making those comments before saying Tevez was finished. If he'd said some stock phrase like "I'll talk to Carlos and we go from there, only this". If Tevez still fucks off to Argentina after that, Mancini is then completely in the right to take any stance he likes. By Mancini saying he was finished at City, Tevez thereby escapes at least some of the blame for that debacle, although Tevez retains the lion's share of course.

I personally think the Tevez debacle should have been played down as you said and Bobby should have played the long game. By stating Tevez was finished he went awol as you said and his value plummeted. Had he played it safe we may have going it easier to sell and for a for a fairer valuation. He weakened our negotiation position and also came in (unfairly) for criticism when he too Tevez back even though he was most likely told to.

The Ade substitution is a fair shout. I just ask why some have an inch whilst Mario gets a mile.

First up may I request a mod please confirm that I am not an alias of any other posters.

Mancini did win the title and yes I am grateful but he did so with the team with the best players and that's all I have said about that. With the team we have I expect nothing else. People talk about how long we haven't won the league but I don't see what the hell that has to do with Mancini and our current team and situation? 'The Hoodoo' is nothing but superstition, what we are dealing with is 38 games in the league and not superstition or the past. Why people say otherwise confuses me!


Mancini is a good manager who I really like, as I said I named my dog after him. A Staffy which is called Bobby. Still I am a rag though who hates Mancini, just because a few tools choose to say so, people who don't know me and simply base an opinion on a few posts. i worry about lack of intellect of such people.

As for anybody who says Mancini is better than Mourinho, I beg to differ to be honest. Putting my fan head aside I look to Europe where one has succeeded and another hasn't yet. As simple as that. Mourinho is accused of inheriting sides, doesn't every manager do that when he joins a club? Benitez and Wenger come to mind instantly for having success with players bought by different managers. Absolutely no sense to that statement as a manager deals with the here and now and his tactics and strategies make a team what they are. Sometimes it's adding a missing ingredient or sometimes it's a complete overhaul. Fact of the matter is Mourinho has CL honours and he has won everywhere he has gone. Basing his work with Balotelli is rather shallow, he is working with Ramos whom he is heavily reported to majorly dislike and that's mutual.

Anyway back to my original point. Ade is a player I want gone (see earlier posts in that thread before it went on a tangent) and I hope he and us both get deals we hope for and that it happens asap. IMO it would have been good to see Mancini try to work with him rather than buy Dzeko. I based this on FFP guys, people who talk about harmonious dressing rooms have a good point and one I agree with (even though some tend to give Mario a pass, lets forget his bust up with Kola over a freekick). Ade is a player who's wages aren't counted towards FFP, a proven premier league player who imo fits us better than Dzeko does. Anyway, we simply choose to loan him out and even take a hit financially to buy a player in Dzeko who isn't a first choice striker anyway. I like Edin lets not get confused about that but the situation isn't right, it's frivolous imo and I can see why the board may object to spending on players when they worry about FFP and budgets when we have spent on players whom weren't a priority. It's a debate for another day but i must clear this up about Mancini because this witchhunt isn't fair. I am not a rag (on my mothers life) and I don't dislike Bobby, the opposite in fact.

Haters can hate, people can criticise but if you want to debate please show some respect. Insults show levels and 10 word posts are effortless.

Before I go, I think it's odd that you cannot question subjects on a forum as that's a contradiction is terms. Lescott and Bobby would have both been slated if we didn't win the QPR game imo yet because we did win both have been granted immunity seemingly.

Well the missing ingredient was added aguero ,and as for Europe Mancini has had one season with city and we finished with 10 points and 9 times out of 10 teams qualify with 10 points, 2 seasons 2 trophies argue that

I personally expect semi finals next year with the team we have. If Mancini sets up like he did v the rags at OT and against Newcastle I think we will do a damn site better than going all out and being countered ala Napoli.

RDM, half a season, 2 trophies. Not knocking Mancini but stating fact. They beat 2 of our group conquerors and the best team in the world en route to lifting CL. Lucky or not those trophies shine in their cabinet

No we didn't qualify but my point was it was our first attempt, Rome wasn't built in a day chelsea have had years in Europe as have rags arsenal and others fact is bellamy went we improved adebayor went on loan we improved so think Mancini was proved right regardless of your opinion

Pretty much all the players Mancini has had issue with all have previous at other clubs with regards to causing problems. Interestingly players, such as, Zabaleta, Kompany, Barry etc seem to have no problem with his style of man-management.

We have got rid of players such as Bellamy, Ade, Robinho and replaced them with humble, committed professional footballers such as Silva, Aguero, Dzeko.

Reservations... For me it is exactly the opposite. His man-management technique has been to remove the troublemakers and replace them with consumate professionals.

I can't see how questioning things that worry me and others (by looks of a few) can be unhealthy. To think otherwise is blinkered.

Are fans not allowed to worry about the club they've supported all their life? How dare I be so cheeky!
