PMSL at the outers.
Been in top 4 most of season
Fa cup semi final coming up
Europa group winners, unlucky not to go 1/4s
2nd best defense in league
+18 goal difference

I have posted on this thread a few times in the last couple of days and have to say if you find it funny then keep on PMSL-ing at the outers. I have stated the following a few times and nobody has answered the points that I make. If I am wrong (and I mean wrong, not just having a different opinion to your own) then please tell me where. A reasoned argument may make me change my mind or see things differently but all I hear is "we are 4th - quit moaning".

We WERE 1st, we WERE 2nd, we WERE 3rd and we ARE 4th. This is a sequence that is only going one way at the moment.

If the season had finished and we were 4th then I would be delighted. It isn't over and we are sliding. The form we are showing is bottom half of the table form. As stated previously I believe we need a change in management, either by Mancini's approach changing, which would be acceptable to me or if he can't adapt then a change in personnel is required. I don't believe he will change and we will not progress with cautious football.

With regards to the FA Cup we can only beat what is put in front of us and we have struggled with 3 of the 4 ties drawn. We were knocked out of the Uefa after we met the first decent team we were drawn against. Those runs have papered over the cracks of our very poor 2011 league form.

As i said earlier, if you disagree with any of this then please give me a reasoned argument not the usual "Bollocks" and "You don't know how lucky we are" responses because I do know how lucky we are as a club to have our owners. I honestly believe we need to see the light and change something before it is too late.

League - We were never going to win the league this season and you are an extreme optimist if you think we were. 3rd/4th is a realistic target and as far as I am concerned we are dead on course for that.

UEFA - This tournament is more of a hinderance than anything and whilst it would have been nice to progress further or even win it, it does not bother me that we are out of it. We have more time to concentrate on the our league position which is far more important. On top of this, I firmly believe that if Mario didn't get sent off we would have progressed past Kiev.

F.A. - As for this, struggling past has the same outcome as cruising past. We are still in this and in the semi final. I don't really understand your problem with the manager on this one. We should be looking to nail this trophy and I am 80% sure we will. Although in typical City fashion we will probably cruise past United and lose 1 nil in the final.

It is too early to judge but we need some stability in the club either way and I can't see how Mancini staying another season is going to do any harm. We now have a very systematic and formulaic approach installed in the way we play which we have never had before and although is very boring it gives us the base to build on next season. As so many people say, you build a house from the bottom and we finally have that foundation. To go and fuck it up now and turn it all upside down again would be absolute lunacy.

I hope that is reasoning enough for you.

I suspect that those saying in don't have to endure the matches that we see! Watching it on tv or an Internet stream it's easy to switch off, going to matches this season has been such a bore thank god we have great banter, or we would all be asleep!

I know,,all those replays make it far worse than it actually is...

IN.

When we were tied for first, that was always a false position. We had had an easier schedule, and had games in hand. When we were in first, we were still several quality wins (Man U, Chelsea, etc.) before we were serious title contenders.

This is an opinion as opposed to fact, so its hard to debate. All teams hit bad runs of form. You think Mancini's tactics wouldn't win the league, I think they can. Remember, if you win a double over everyone outside of the top 5 or 6, you will win the league. Those other points are just icing.

Again, an opinion. Overall, sitting in 4th with a vastly superior goal differential to the likes of Spurs, with the second best defense in teh league. I don't think that's "very poor form." Yes we gave up goals to Leicester and Notts, but it would be hard to argue that we didnt absolutely dominate the games against Villa and Reading, even though we only scored one against Reading.

Kiev are a good team, and we missed several chances to beat them (balotelli sitter comes to mind). I can't blame Mancini for that defeat; the chances were created, and we weren't clinical enough.

Priority number one = Speedy left winger

Completely agree.

This is all irrelevant kids! He wont be here, the Sheikhs will jib him cos in all fairness he hasn't delivered and he does the following (my thoughts may sound harsh but I'm saying it how I see it):

This league and the Europa League were there for the taking but he shit himself to often and went for the cautious 'draw' result when he should've been going out to win. Getting shown up by fucking Dynamo Kiev?!! Ludicrous.

LPrem wise - let's say you play the 10 league games in a season v the other 'top 6' teams and you draw them all you get 10 points right?

If you win 5 and lose 5 you get 15 points, a 5 point gain. Yes you've lost 5 games but at the end of the day you have more points. The difference between 4th and much higher possibly. Or in our potential case between 4th and 5th.

He is to cautious. He has huge attacking wealth at this disposal but still opts for a cautious and labourious midfield. The midfielders are to samey, Barry is Milner, Yaya is Dejong. There is no creative player (think Scholes, Fabregas, Modric, Lampard, Gerrard) in the midfield (Silva plays behind the strikers not in midfield). Its unbalanced. There is no width or pace.

Kolarov is shit fullstop. He is an average midfielder with a good shot masquerading as a left back. Ridiculous tactic and a shit buy.

Asbotelli has mental health issues and doesnt want to be here. Imagine how much his antics disrupt the other lads? If I worked with him I'd have twatted him all over the office. Shit buy.

Yaya is hugely overrated. The lad doesn't seem fit, he seems to be running in lead boots and has to have a 10 minute breather every time he makes a run. He is a meat and potato player, with zero creatvity and fuck all contribution goals wise. Shit buy.

Dzeko - to eary to judge the lad as a player but to bring him in to a system where he clearly doesnt grasp what the fuck he's supposed to be doing is unfair on him and detracts from the team's performances and makes him look shit when he probably isnt.

The Sheiks wont buzz of it. They pay top ££ and want to be the top dogs. They wont suffer his shit buys and shit negativity.

He'll be gone at the end of the saeason regardless of how we eventually end up and Mourhino will be brought in for serious money to do the job properly.

See you at Wembley :)

Me? Or Bulldog?

If me, yes - ST holder since 83 and a regular away fan too. Got more than enough points to qualify on Saturday morning without the cup scheme (which I am also in). N.B. This makes my opinion no more or less valid than any other opinions and is only stated to answer your question so you can get a feel for how my opinion is formed.

And with regard to the quotes above, Bulldog, a lot of it is based on fact and some is opinion as shown by the words "I believe...etc.".

I also don't agree with your statement that "sitting in 4th with the second best defence in the league is not very poor form". It only stands up as form if we were looking at form since August which is what the current table means (the whole season). I am clearly talking about our form since New Year which is certainly poor. If you do not think we are sliding at the moment then I believe you are mistaken.

Edited cause I can't get used to highlighting parts of other peoples quotes - apologies!

OUT

For me ,as long as we have a top top replacement lined up (Mourinho) I have said it before, I am afraid we could end up with nothing, I am really worried we will be done by Spurs again, we are far to slow and negative and always seem to lose the games that really matter, some of decisions are best described as a mystery and some buys questionable
