Kind of surprised him and Micah get on tbh, I always got the impression he didn't fancy him much because he didn't seem serious enough. Then again, Roy Keane loves him so clearly he's just too much fun to dislike, even if he really shouldn't be someone you get on with.

He'll always be a fond memory, as he was perfect for that time at the club. Probably the most fun couple of years I've had as a City fan, an emotional manager for an emotional time. Transitioned us from Mark Hughes aimless joke club to battle hardened title winners. (then fell out with everyone and pretty much did his best to destroy what he'd built, but still) I reckon we timed it perfectly with him, got him at the exact right time, then let him go at the exact right time. He lifted us up about 5 levels, then we moved him on before he could drag us down a bit with his fallings out. Pellegrini was able to then come in and just right the ship by being nice, then sail off into the sunset and let Pep come in and complete the squad turnover and move onto the next phase of the project. In hindsight, reckon it went about as well as it ever could have, barring Pep agreeing to come a year earlier.

Good article. I love Bobby and all he did for us, not afraid to take players and their ego's on. Absolute class guy. I'd have him back no problem if Pep goes. He was so dedicated and got that banner taken down at Scaffold Trafford.

I dont like to think of him at the Swamp though. I'd hate it if he turned up at the Etihad with them. Please dont be tempted by that rotten club Bobby, it's a poisoned chalice, still run by old whiskey nose, We love you here.

Nothing but total love for Mancini, right guy for the right time, and it was also the right time to say goodbye. Will get a heroes welcome if he ever comes back as an opposition manager (assuming it's not united or Liverpool) or just to visit but he should never come back to manage us, we've all moved on and his time here needs to remain sacred.

Roberto Mancini will always be revered as a as a club legend for what he did for this club, IMO. Anyone still bickering he lost the dressing room I'm not gonna get in an arguement with, so fuckin' what? : /

He took that hated banner down after saying he would and he did when winning us the FA cup, thanks largely to Yaya of course. He won us the league, the most exalted I've ever felt in 50 years a blue, thanks to Dzeko and especially Aguero.

I was gutted when he got the sack but in hindsight, he was probably dispensed of for (interim manager) Manuel Pellegrini for Pep to eventually succeed him. When Bobby Manc did that two page spread thanking us fans it touched my heart because he genuinely loved his time at City and us there, the ones who sang his song with heartfelt passion and pride.

And if he ever ends up managing the rags i won't be happy about it but I will still remember what he did for us, and that can never be taken away from the history books!

Great interview. I know Micah gets a bit of stick regarding his punditry but I think he’s good to have in our corner and seems a genuinely nice guy
Mancini for all his faults will go down as a city legend. Put us back on the map. Shut those doughnuts from United up and gave us some of our best times following city.

won the euros as well and as much as I was gutted England lost was made up for roberto. Seems to have a lot of love for city even after the way he was dumped. I’m my view should have been dealt with a lot better but it’s history now.
