Yaya's attitude today and against Chelsea is hardly awe inspiring.

Have a look at his stats how much he runs how many passes he completes. You will see how bad we miss him when he is not here. He did everything he could today and has started EVERY game for a reason. Him and Silva are easily our best players.

yaya today was dogshit.

Yaya was actually one of our better players today and there were only a couple of others anywhere near his standard. We are going to miss him big time but I can only hope that Milner and Barry step up and we get by somehow.

Hurry up back Yaya.

Well glad that people are now finally waking up to AJ. Sorry but the lad is good in small parts, he cannot sustain it for a game or more and today he was the pits along with with one or two others - Dzeko springs to mind. I think we need to be more aggressive in possession and pass the ball quicker, looking like a team devoid of ideas at the mo. Maybe a session in the VT suite, viewing past matches (Rags, Spuds etc) will do the trick!!.

What baffles me is Mancini making hand signals to Johnson to stay out wide to receive the ball, yet when he receives it he always has to cut inside onto his left foot, this gives defenders the time to take up position in the box.

Why the fuck doesn't he switch him sometimes to the left, then at least he can get the ball in quicker to Dzeko without him checking his run?

tbh, AJ doesnt fit into ancini's formation. A left footed winger playing on the right with no winger on the opposite flank, makes it completely unbalanced.

Not saying AJ played well today, he didnt. but i dont like him on that side where the other team know his always going to cut inside and hit 7-8 players where the bus is parked.

We have no plan b, everything's through the middle and no balanced width.

Not sure laziness on the pitch is the problem, rather laziness on the training ground. Johnson looks massively unfit and he always fades badly when he starts games. Off the bench against tired defenders it isn't such a problem. When he joined I put it down to having played a lot of games for Boro and the step up in pace but he's never stopped looking tired.

It comes down to attitude and desire. He has talent but unless he really knuckles down he'll never be the player he can. The contrast between Johnson and Milner is remarkable. I'd have Milner in my team over Johnson every time.

He is an impact player at best, wish people would see this. Like many have said if we are offered £20 mill snap their hands off

AJ is good impact sub.
We knew it last year too.
No different this year.

I dont think he is having a bad season. He has 5-6 PL goals and 3-4 assist. From our 50 goals he took part in 10.

There isnt many good winger out there who would want to come here, sit on the bench a lot.
Lavezzi would cost a lot and would cost a place to Nasri or Balotelli. And Dzeko/AJ playing time would be halved.

AJ just signed a contract 2015 I think, he certainly knows that he wont be starting every weak.

I think that Milner in the hole will be a revelation as he gets stuck in and does a shift! I'm hoping that he gives Bobby a real headache when Ya Ya returns

We are so much better movement wise when Balotelli and Aguero play up front. With Dzeko we can't play the ball over the top as he's slow, plus for some reason it seems like the lad couldn't trap his hand in a door at the moment. his touch is dreadful. Johnsons delivery especially from set pieces is woeful. Time and time again today corner kicks were wasted because he couldn't clear the first man. We are going to have to develope a plan B especially away from home. Still on a positive note before a ball was kicked this weekend we would have settled for still being joint top with the Rags. We have now played the extra away game, and by the end of the month we'll only have to play the Rags, Chelski and Arsenal out of the top six.

he was all right today. played well in general, did made tiny errors, but nothing important.
you just need to accept that the outcome of today's match was against all odds. it didn't have to do anything with any player in particular. nothing went the right way today. dzeko hit the bar, richards hit the bar, the manager choose the right tactics, city had more chances and sunderland scored from obvious offside seconds before the end. that's it. it wasn't dzeko, it wasn't johnson, nasri or aguero. stuff like that happen every now and then and that's why the game is so exciting after all.
