Mancini - Nearly a year at City, what's your rating?

9/10.
Top man who's got an almost frightening obsession and desire to win. Amazing pedigree as player and manager.
Handles himself extremely well with lots of confidence and class.
I'm absolutely loving how he's slowly instilling this confidence and winning spirit deep into the fabric of the club and it's players.
He's still young and I think he can become a legend at City. When he's done here he will hopefully be recognised as one of the best managers ever - named in the same breath as Mourinho, Rinus Michels, Sacchi, Cruyff and Lippi.

I also think we have to keep in mind (as Tevez actually pointed out in his recent interview) that we've come a long way in a very short time. Because of the extreme conditions with tons of cash and desire to win fast - City could very well be a "poison chalice" for managers yet Mancini is confident in his belief he can do what the owners, fans and players desire.

7.5/10
Propped up a lacking defence that now stands firm with a difficult structure to penetrate. Shrewdly brought in some extremely talented (and attacking) players that will give some purchase in games to come.

As the finishing improves and the midfield improves pace of delivery, the goals will flow more regularly and the stats will speak for themselves. Esp "for/against".

Shows commitment to finishing top of the league and a real desire to win silverware this season.

Handles the club's affairs with class and panache. As soon as the 2 upfront begin to gel more, the critics will be humbly silenced.

6 out of 10 for performances so far.

Suspect it will be a lot higher in a years time though.

for me 9/10 because he is a great guy and a great manager and i suspect it will be 10/10 at the end of the season when we finish in the top 3.

6.5/10.

Positives
Qualified for the knockouts in the Europa.
Touching distance of the top of the league in december.
Great wins over Chelsea and Liverpool whilst good draws with United & Spurs.
Good signings in Kolarov, Boateng, Yaya and Silva.
Sured up the defence.

Negatives
Failed to get top 4 last season.
Disgraceful exit in the Carling Cup to WBA B Team, playing our kids.
Poor results v BBurn, Sunderland & Wolves that just aren't acceptable.
Balotelli is an accident waiting to happen, don't like this signing.
Not got the best out of Milner or AJ for sustained periods.
Lack of communication between keeper and defence, obvious flaws that need resolving.
Poor man management with Robinho, Bellamy and Adebayor.

Long way to go yet, we are improving though :).

blame mancini for sunderland and wolves are not fair.
Balotelli is one of the best things ever happend, how you can not like this signing is beyond me! give the guy a fucking chance.
Milner will come good. he manage AJ best way possible.
communication between keeper and defence can be blamed on players for god sake! these guys have played football long enough to know the basics.
Robinho and Bellamy, He did the right thing to get rid. or would you honestly prefer these guys in our lineup???? Adebayor? what shall he do? play him just to be nice?? NO NO

They are fair, we lost them when we should have won, his subs v Sunderland in particular were appalling.
I don't like Balotelli's attitude and I think it's double standards by Mancini to buy and pick his favourite trouble maker but ditch Bellamy, Robinho and Ade without even remotely the same amount of even handedness or equal treatment.
Milner may come good but we're judging it on now.
Can blame players for communication but Mancini should have covered and emphasised that in training.
Already covered Robbie, Bellamy and Ade.

8.5/10

100% better manager than Hughes. organised the defence, and for all the paper talk of him and tevez not getting on he's clearly got the best out of him.
We don't roll over any more, too much under Hughes we'd go away from home and have our bellies tickled.

so , if in january City could buy a c.ronaldo o a messi do you expect they will have equal treatment of a bellamy or an ireland ?? its really funny

and , by the way , the sunderland defeat was from the sitter missed by tevez and from his consequent greediness

Tevez? Greedy? You must not be watching the same Tevez play as me.
