Mancini on Hughes Criticism

I liked Hughes at city, he brought some good players in, Kompany and De jong to name but 2, i felt sorry for him when he left and thought he handled the situation with great dignaty, but we weren't going foward with him and the time was right to change, if harsh! Since he left city he has shown the club no respect and that thing with Bob last year about the shaking of the hands and eye contact was juvinile to say the least, Bobby probably didn't want to look him in the eye as he didn't want to gloat or maybe even felt that Hughes HAD been hard done to. But he has shown in the last year his true class, and to be honest i think we did well to get rid when we did! Mancini has been accused of playing with the "don't get beat" mentallity, but he's had to change his team slowly, and now he has HIS team the football is fantastic, we'd still be playing and more to the point watching good football, but not great football under Hughes!

i must be the only blue who actually respects Arsene Wenger for what he has achieved in football,i know us n Arsene have had our ups n downs but you can't deny he's been a very good manager who's team have entertained football fans for a number of years.
You can respect him, and/or his achievements, without saying his character is like that of Mancini. My view of Wenger is that he's a bottler. The amount of opportunities Arsenal have blown in the last months of the season is unreal; the annual Arsenal collapse has become the stuff of parody. I don't think Mancini is similarly afflicted. I think Wenger is rash and hot-headed whereas Mancini is extremely passionate during a match but calm and collected otherwise. You'll never see Fergie's little mind games working on Mancini liked they've worked on Keegan, Wenger and Rafa. I think Mancini is honest and above board and accepts responsibility when something goes wrong. I think Wenger is myopic and never sees a problem either in himself or his players - at least one that he'll acknowledge to the press. Totally different characters in my view.

He's certainley never seen a foul by one of his players.

Hughes is a patterned short-sleeved shirt you pick up at the supermarket at a sale; Mancini is an custom made Armani suit.

Its a shame Hughes now feels the need to stick the knife in, whenever he can. After his sacking I was impressed with how he conducted himself, it just seems he is getting more and more bitter by the day. I actually feel sorry for him, its a bit like if your bird chucks you, and her new bloke is better than you in every way possible, and everyone knows it, thats got to hurt! I think he cuts quite a sad figure these days, his feeble attempt at defending Tevez, was nothing short embarrasing.

I think Hughes gets far too match credit for 'discovering' then bringing in Kompany, de Jong and Zabaleta. Yes I'm glad he did but it's a pretty well know fact that they were already on our lists cause Sven was planning to buy them.

i think we do need to remeber Hughes did do alot for the club when he was manager and he was loyal when he was here. Although he is acting like a prick now we do still need to give him some credit.

“I don’t know Mark Hughes and he doesn’t know me,” he said.

“But I’m happy when he talks to the newspapers because, before every game that he talks, we win 6-1 and 4-1. Every game.

“So if he talks about me before every game, I’d be very happy.”

OH MY DAYS! I'm absolutely buzzing my tits off over this. I didn;t mind hughes at the time but what a fucking slimey little **** he's shown to be. I'm absolutely buzzing about Bob throwing it back in the snide fuckers face! Hughes reappeared on sky as a pundit when we were away to chelsea, typical as a smug **** expecting us to lose, but we stuffed the fuckers 4-2 and he was made to look a twat. Same again with the recent quotes. That prick would have been loving us to lose at the swamp and obviously expected it, but we beat all the odds and fucked him over again. Get the fuck in Bobby Manc for rubbing it in the cunts face. Get the fuck in

**** is the best and only description of him for me - always wanted him out and he cant and never will be able to compare to Bobby
