Mancini On Soriano

There are many, many highs under Mancini, but I will absolutely never, ever forget:

Man Utd 1 v 6 Manchester City

Can't get enough of that game, so many good points:

1. Mancini laughing in his seat - great pic.
2. Balotelli's celebration - simply stunning, and at the Swamp as well!
3. The Rags behind the goal with their heads in their hands when 4, 5 and then 6 went in.
4. Milner's reaction to the City fans at the end of the game.
5. Silva's pass for the 6th - sublime.
6. Balotelli and Aguero pissing about on the subs bench.
7. The Rag saying something to Balotelli when he came off and Balotelli just dismissing him.

Thanks Bobby. Oh, and can everyone just stop fucking arguing about him, it's fucking embarrassing. Comments like 'Jog on Bobby' are fucking shocking, and not good enough from Blues, we're supposed to be better than that. Ragcafe must be pissing themselves over this utter shambles.

Anyway, onwards and upwards with Pellegrini.

I don't get the hatred on here towards Mancini, who lest we forget was our most successful manager in many posters lifetimes, including mine and I'm 42.

What exactly did he do to invite such animosity ?

Was it the way he turned around a sinking ship that was heading to mid table obscurity (at best) despite having multi millions spunked on it by this generations Alan Ball and within little more than a season had won an fa cup and a third placed league finish? Our first trophy in 35 years and our best league finish since '77 ?

Was it the first league title in 44 years, playing the best sort of swash-buckling attacking football our team has perhaps EVER played, certainly in the top division?

Was it his refusal to play the "likkle city are ruining football" game with the red tops and other chancers of the fourth estate?

Was it his refusal to bow down to the attempted mind games of football's perhaps greatest exponent of the mind games art. Indeed his ultimate and very public triumph in this contest?

Was it his absolute insistence that as manager he should be "in charge" ?

Was it his refusal to accept anything other than total effort from our under performing players and his inability to hide away from the fact that he believed multi million pound footballers, paid millions a year should put 100% effort in every week or be called out on it?

Was it the way he showed a truculent, spoiled, selfish Tevez that it was his way or the highway? A mere few weeks after "the greatest disciplinarian in the history of the game" had been bent over and forcibly pleasures by the fat granny shagging bastard?

Was it the way he refused to kow tow to gorgeous joe and his lovely dandruff free locks and instead dared to criticise him for basic errors brought on by complacency?

Was it the way he clearly let his team know in no uncertain terms that "if I substitute you, you come off the pitch sharpish. And if you sulk whilst doing so don't expect a pat on the back and a handshake for the cameras" ?

What was it?

It can't be because he has only spent his entire life in the game can it?

I fully understand that for some on here that is not as important or as impressive as bankrupting an airline.

Or snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the saga of the signing of one of the most exciting young players in the world, even though one of his key remits was to improve our recruitment processes?

Is it simply because Mancini wasn't "involved with Barça"

It's pathetic and thank god it isn't something you see a lot of from real city fans.

If pelle doesn't win the lge and cup in the next two seasons replacing Mancini will be a proven error.

But that'll be alright cos some posters will still be celebrating the disgraceful, unprofessional, and frankly amateurish dismissal of our greatest manager for generations, possibly ever.

Wankers.
Haha.

The old "real fans were behind Mancini" line. Brilliant. I love it.

I will give you some reasons why I have animosity towards him if you want.

Poor decision making on the field of play.
A lack of a cool head when the chips were down in games
Ridiculous team selections and substitutions at times
The repeated picking of his "pet" players when they weren't doing enough
Embarrassing outbursts in the press
Treating players and staff like pieces of shit on his shoe
Recruiting his mates into jobs where the incumbents were popular and capable
Sulking like a baby when he didn't get his own way
Trying to be clever with a stupid formation which we didn't have the personnel for. Repeatedly.
Never ever saying anything of any substance or meaning in his press conferences
Recruiting a couple of sycophantic yes men to sit alongside him telling him how great he is
Hanging marwood out to dry repeatedly
Blaming everybody but himself for underperformance

And most significantly of all in the end: Never getting the best from the squad he had.

He had a brilliant squad, did some good things and of course won the league. You can't take that away from him and he will forever go down in history for that. But ultimately, he didn't have the skills required to finish the job. And he always has been and always will be an arrogant, self obsessed, vain bastard.

So when he starts claiming that he was badly treated, after having his every whim catered for by khaldoon since day one, having been allowed to fuck off who he wants, spend what he wants, recruit who he wants, blame who he wants, say what he wants for four years, and after that shocking season he oversaw...he can stick it up his self-important arse, quite honestly.
And you can stick it up yours Billy :0

That big bad Roberto Mancini :)

He's unemployed, and Soriano and Begiristain are comfortably ensconced at City. Even Marwood is still around, not to mention Vicky Kloss. Your buddy Bobby was sacked, and the club moves on, without him.

MANCIO FC, forever...!!

Soriano and Begiristain allowing Mancini to be humiliated before the Cup Final was a shabby way to treat him and it destabilised the club and they must take a lot of responsibility for the Wembley no show. I didn't agree with replacing Mancini, and the way it was handled was very, very poor indeed. A sad chapter in our history.

I just hope that Pellegrini is an improvement on the high standards set by Mancini. If he isn't an improvement, and we have to give him time, the judgement of Soriano and Begiristain will come into sharp focus, in Abu Dhabi and amongst us.

Some Blues believing Begiristain and Soriano were right to replace Mancini is a matter of opinion, but the hatred towards Mancini and the clever arse gloating on here is utterly shameful. The anti-Mancini whispering campaign on here for much last season was equally shameful especially when you consider what Mancini achieved for us. All of it is misplaced.

Preach your hatred if you really must, but it says more about the haters than anyone else.

great post,especially the last sentence

Here we go again with this pigeon holing bolloxology.

I accept there's some wums and the odd rag on this forum but the vast majority are died in the wool City fans, otherwise they wouldn't spend so much time on here posting their views, concerns, opinions, what have you.

Can we drop this bullshit of calling people Mancini fans, inners, outers, JCLs or what ever other bollox people use when the debate gets too intense for them.

Sorry had to get that off my chest. As you were.

There's a few on here who can't help but hold up their loyalty points and season cards as if that gives their ignorant ramblings more gravitas ...

Calling Cookie Monster...

I think it's his mate tbh
Telling everyone umpteen times he's been to a 1000 matches
I'm here all week :)

There was nothing to laugh at during that last month or so Billy - nobody came out with much credit and the fans were the ones to suffer in the end.

The behaviour of some so called fans on here the night before the FA cup final was an absolute disgrace. The threads are gone now but I think it was Balti who rightly named and shamed them and that was also removed.I said it at the time some of our fans havent got a clue.It was obvious some journos were on here and some of our gobshite supporters fanned the flames with their 'my sources say'.Fucking idiots to a man.

This is going to be one of those repetative threads isn't it!!

Mancini In, Mancini out, I was right, You were wrong, blah blah blah

Same old shit under a new thread title.

It's over lads/lasses, Mancini has a right to say what he wants, same as Soriano if he ever wishes to!!

Let it go now, its not worth getting all irate about.

Ciao
