Doesn't the most successul manager in many of our lifetimes realise that the new fashionable cult of Sariano and Txiki can do no wrong.

You really haven't taken it well at all. Still, when you see what our squad is actually capable of when they're happy I'm sure the City fan in you will see the right decision was made. Maybe you'll even come to thank Ferran and Txiki ... who knows. :)

He knows how to embarrass himself for sure. A few months ago i think i remember him saying something like "tactics are not important, it's more important to have the best players"...when asked about Txiki and if he has told him to play the 4-3-3 system.

& neither Mancini it seems.

Bob continues to be too emotional and knee-jerk which is his biggest failing for me.

He had/has many good qualities but does not seem to learn from his mistakes.

Glad you came Bob but you had to go for us to move forward.

'Two months after my sacking, I still don't understand the reasons and the timing.'

A manager whose ego blinds him from his flaws tells me that we made the right decision.

Respect works both ways Mancini, if you do not respect the people above and around you within the office, your not likely to survive anywhere.

I genuinly hope you're right - but so far I'm not overly impressed by them (not just re Mancini). You have clearly nailed your colours to the mast about them - but why???? Yes "Barcelona" but surely you can see the mitigating fortunate factors there at the time - It doesn't mean it will translate here. Like I said - I live in hope - you seem to live in certainty. Don't get me wrong I admire your forthright optimism.

He still commands my overwhelming respect, and I still really like the guy, he always had time for the fans and was always grateful for our support of him. However, he's said some very stupid things about those people above him and if his attitude towards Soriano was, to Soriano's face, as dismissive as in these quotes, then you can't blame him (and Txiki and Khaldoon by what was likely a consensus decision) for sacking him. Unfortunately it does seem like Mancini was too big for his boots.

There's many reasons why it didn't work out for Roberto but his attitude and ignorance towards everyone but his own tiny clique of fellow Italians was the root.

I've not got blind faith in Txiki. I rate Pellegrini way higher than Mancini, and when I see the business we are doing I don't see how you can be anything but optimistic. This isn't a transitional season and I don't expect us to do anything other than improve on last season's points tally, and comfortably improve on our abortive recent CL campaigns.
