Mancini or Hughes - you decide ?

There was lots I liked about Hughes but he let himself down with the defence and simply didn't have the tactical subtlety for the top 4. There's also things I like about Mancini but I can't watch many more games like todays. I'm worried we've gone very unadventurous. Last Tuesday, Wednesday and now today.

Pompey were there for the taking and we should have gone for them from the off. The next few games are vital. Wolves managed a point at Hull and we should be looking for all three. If we don't and we can't beat Liverpool then someone should tell Mancini not to bother house-hunting unless he knows Mourinho's taste in houses.

last tuesday.... well, maybe, but for me that was two-legged cup tie football for you, we came back from a goal behind at home, is it really wise to risk throwing what little advantage you have away? in the return leg, I keep pointing out to people that we actually had more shots on target than utd and the possession and corner stats were extremely close. that was despite our heads dropping and allowing them a good 20 minutes of pure attack.

which ever way you look at it, I think it's a mistake to think that our tactics in a two leg semi-final against Utd are a reliable indicator as to where our baseline of attack/defence will be in the league. today had to be 3 points, and the bonus was a clean sheet after conceding 5 in 3 (sounds better than 9 in 3, doesn't it).....scoring twice in the first half meant there was no real onus on the players to push themselves.....so I can't hold it againt Mancini. the goal difference can be made up in the next 16 games, if needs be.

The final point is Mourinho. The grass is always greener? Ask the Inter fans who provided the more attacking football.

Would'nt it be polite to give Mancini time to find out about his players. How they respond to certain positions, who is the most consistent in each position, how they gel in certain formations or even how who is the best for a certain position in a formation he may fancy sticking to? Perhaps this is how he was so successful at Inter? Perhaps we should just write him off as its obviously his fault we have players injured or just coming back from injury and also that he has'nt had the chance to work with a full first choice team of very talented players?
How many weeks has he had? Its like groundhog day, sometimes the negativity must be to blame for all our shortcomings, its in our club and everyone associated with it's blood.
Anyone to start the 'happy clapper' comments?

Let me see now backwards with Hughes or forwards with Mancini? I 'll have to sleep on that one its tough one.
