His record in big games is appalling.
Despite massive investment we are still going to finish 15pts behind United.
Also Ferguson spent £6 mill on hernandez who has been a success. Bobby's spent £40 mill plus on Dzeko & Mario, both poor signings who have been big time flops.

Too early to tell in both cases.

Anyway Ferg has signed some real howlers. Including spending 32.5 on a CF who looked like a flop but has probably won them the league this year. It's not enough to get you the sack and never has been.

It made me feel rather uneasy. These things can backfire. My view is that if the manager is to be held totally responsible, then he has to have complete autonomy, with no-one interefering whatsoever. If others are involved it's too easy for them to cherry pick their moments, gee them up for an easy match and take all the plaudits, then come the tough times, they are nowhere to be seen, and the manager gets all the stick.

Secondly We won at home and lost at old trafford the place where we've won like 2 times since 1974.

Thirdly remember that game as being a last minute goal thanks to some lack defending and loosing the ball to easily which Mancini has taught the team not to do if they fail to do as the manager is taught surely its the players fault??? re "winning every game 10-0. A ridiculous statement and that is not what people are after, just trying to win some of the bigger games might be nice, rather than not losing. The team were winning games up to New Year and we were on track. For whatever reason that form has not continued over the last 3 and a bit months. Look at the stats and it just hasn't. No argument or as some would say "FACT" (I don't like it when someone does that either but in this case it is appliccable)

The bigger picture? The bigger picture is progression. Up to New Years Day that is exactly what was happening. Progress. It isn't happening now. We are going backwards and are dropping gradually down the table. Another fact.

5 Year PLan - I thought the intention was to be in the Champs League a lot quicker than that and I'm fairly sure most others did. Not fact but my understanding that it was earlier than that. If it is as you say "5 years" to reach the Champs League then we are very much ahead of target and I would applaud the manager but somehow I doubt that timescale.

I decided not to post after monday - I was so angry that I decided to avoid all forms of football media - just forget aout football and in particular City. Of course my minds been uzzing with thoughts ever since....it's impossible to switch off from your team for 5 nminutes let alone 3 days...
There really is nothing else to say about Mancini. I have said it for months, he wasn't right last season, isn't right now. Never has been. He is as has been mentioned on this thread a sauve looking idiot who has ZERO understanding of the English Premier league and what it takes to mould a winning side. There is so much I dislike about him it's untrue. His ridiculously uninformative interviews, his sterile tactics, his cowardice approach to games, his astonishing ability to have a blank cheque book yet create a side with so much inbalance...it's almoast laughable. And there's more...his ability to make superb footballers look devoid of ideas, devoid of any technical ability, and his biggest failing, his spectacularly consistent abiloity to make repeated mistakes. It defies belief. When I saw the team sheet for Liverpool it broke any anticipation I had for that game, I knew what would happen YET Mancini sat there and didn't rectify it [sorry, yes he tried after conceding a mere 3 goals - could have been 5/6]....

Now there is NO way any City fan on here can wave their Mancini flag anymore...the excuses have run dry, the poerformances are getting worse, the desire in some of our players is laughable...as a football fan there can be no bigger slap in the face as a fan than seeing a player [in our case several] not even trying. Yaya, Barry, kolarov, Balloteli, Johnson are all a disgrace to MCFC and should be sold. Contrast to Lescottg who may not be the best player in the world but he tries, he tries to gee other players up, sadly those players are elsewhere in their heads...face it Mancini lovers, some of our players simply do not want to be here and they don't hide it.

I would dance with delight if Mancini was sacked NOW. Yes, before the semi as I believe with him in charge for saturday we have NO chance. Mancini has no idea how to beat the filth. Fergiescum proaly has a dozen ways of beating us. mancini won't have the bottle, the guts to send us out to win, we all know this.

So, what happens if mancini was to be sacked now? No idea, that's not for me to decide. Bring in ANYONE who can send our players out and tell them to go and play....it's not rocket science...
Mancini has proved me right on so many occasions it's now becoming familiarly boring....so much money - so much waste. No progression. What we have is a replica of last season, scrapping to get 4th which I elieve we will miss out on. Our players don't have the heart of Tottenham to really want 4th because they don't give a shit. From that statement I do not include: Richards, Zabs, Kompany, lescott, Silva, Dejong ans Milner. Strange really, most are not Mancini's mega signings...
Leaves a simple formula:
Massive money spent on so called elite players + a club without success for 30 years = unmotivated players who only came for money and don't want to be here.
The 'project' under this formula isn't working - it's making us look stupid.

And I bet there are still some on here who are refusing to believe it.

Out of form team? Based on what? The weekend before the first leg they beat Burnley 3-0, the weekend before the second leg they beat Hull 4-0, the weekend after the second leg they beat Arsenal 3-1. They had a wobble in December but had recovered and were unbeaten in the league for a month to the day when the first leg was played

We beat United at home in the first leg, when we went up they were always going to have a spell of pressure, it's not as easy to say just keep attacking, keep the pressure on them. Well infact it is easy to say but it's easy to keep doing it against a team like United, they were always going to have a lot of the ball and apply pressure once they went behind and we did well to keep it to 2-1 which gave us a great chance in the second leg where we pushed them all the way and lost to a goal in the last few seconds
