well if we lose on saturday and finish 5th he wont be here next season

that wouldnt be the end of the world for me, watching mancini's turgid approach for another season doesn't excite me at all.

what's so exciting about playing in the champions league qualifiers, i would certainly sacrifice it, if it meant watching games each week that got me excited instead of the borefest that mancini inflicts upon us.

away games cost a bloody fortune, and to have a manager intent on killing the game as a spectacle does nothing for me at all, if he is in charge next season, i will sacrifice away games, i am not handing over 50 quid a ticket for this approach.

bring sven back

I would actually just love The Return Of The Sven.

He was royally shafted by Thaksin in a way that left a lingering feeling of "unfinished business". For me, his return would be the perfect prelude to success.

Before soeone starts saying "he's past it" and dismiss him by knee jerk reaction, your attention please:

The man is doing nothing short of a miracle in Leicester, they are actually only a few points shy of the for play-off spots.

When Sven got the job, Leicester was dead last in the Championship with just five points from their first nine matches. No manager has ever reached the play-off spots after such a slow league start. So, just to be competing for them is huge.

There is very little doubt in my mind that City would be better off in the league and the cups during the last 2,5 years if Thaksin hadn't lost it.

thanks mate, thought the samething, in the short time sven was with us he done a fantastic job - just the double over united done it for me.

but if he had more time i feel that he would have built a decent squad and would have deliverd a trophy. - but thats my view

This!

He would never let something like last night's performance happen.

Chelsea 7-1 Aston Villa
Anyone but fucking O'neil, even villa fans weren't sad to see him go. Long ball merchant

at least dzeko might get some service if we were long ball merchants. works well enough for spuds and the rags

Re: Who should City get to replace Mancini?

Is there no decent German managers?

City and Germans seem to go quite well together. Germans know sooo much about English football.

I just feel we should give someone a chance who is up and coming and hungry for success, who could build a real team, not just throw someone in for instant success.

Re: Mancini out

Some reasons Mancini should go at the end of the season;

1. He has made some major blunders in terms of some of the players he has bought. To buy two "strikers" of the calibre of Dzeko and Bartonelli - the former can't control the ball, the latter can't control anything - is unforgivable.

To buy two fullbacks who can't defend nor pass is also unforgivable.

All these decisions put into question Mancini's ability to judge players' abilities and characters.

2. His tactical nous is poor.

3. His ability to motivate players seems non-existent.

4. He has produced a very expensive and ridiculously paid collection of players, but not a team.

5. The style of football he has produced is, to say the least, dreadful to watch.

6. He does not seem to 'know' how to win big games. It is ok beating a rabble like Sunderland but that was sandwiched between two lamentable performances against Chelsea and Liverpool.

7. ......................................................................( any number of other reasons;please enter)

Jurgen Klopp is doing very well for Dortmund, and Thomas Tuchel looks interesting. Hitzfeld has won the Champions League (twice, I think) for Bayern.
