So are there some split personalities on here or what? Stop being so cryptic. Is DD Billy Shears, or is a Cellarite one of those two??
I've met Dave & Billy together, at the same time, and they are most definitely not the same person. Dave could even talk while Billy was drinking a glass of water.

After reviewing the CL stats, it just worries me, and our performances have been ranging from sufficient to mediocre to down right awful.

The stats scream that he's 2nd tier in the scheme of European managers, and the tactical maps of our non-existent midfield against the beautiful, precise formations of Dortmund, Ajax and Madrid who set up to exploit us, and they did.

The only thing in his favour is that I don't see the natural replacement, every single candidate has a substantial strike against them.
Bang on.

Coincidentally I also posted about us being at level 2 and level 1 requires a Jose or Klopp. As a unit we are nearly elite, just shy of wide options and a top cm. If only Wilshere became available...

-- Fri Feb 15, 2013 12:18 am --

Could they pat head and rub tummy in a circular motion though?

For the uninformed Billy's the one on the right.

Dave would never wear that tie and I wear my monocle on my left eye ... but other than that that's not a bad effort :)

So Billy is the one with his arm shoved up Dave's arse then?

Bit young for Dave!

I disagree with a great deal of what they post, and DD used to rub me up the wrong way a while back, but I like DD & BS both very much as posters. I think they've both got a good sense of humour and knowledge of City and the game more generally.

This board would be very dull if we all agreed with each other all the time. I've met them both and whilst they're both looking a bit rough round the edges they are both big blues. Almost as big a blue as me, in fact.

They've both got a robust view on our manager and I reckon they both quite enjoy the attention that holding that viewpoint gives them. Can't blame them for that - I'm cut from that contrary cloth too tbf.Vive la difference
but.....they want Mancini to die

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hit out at claims his job could be on the line this weekend by saying Didsbury Dave and Billy Shears "don't understand football".

Some pundits have suggested Mancini could face the sack if City, whose Barclays Premier League title defence is faltering, are knocked out of the FA Cup by Leeds this weekend.

Former City and Leeds defender Danny Mills has even said a successor could be appointed by Thursday if Mancini's last realistic hope of winning silverware is ended.

Mancini, speaking at a press conference to preview the fifth-round tie, said: "We started our project three years ago.

"In three years we are always on the top - we fight for the title, we have won three trophies, we have the chance to win more this year.

"All the people who talk about this don't understand football.

"Because if Manchester City should sack me, the other 20 teams in the Premier League should be without a manager."

Mancini, who succeeded Mark Hughes in December 2009, ended City's 35-year trophy drought by guiding them to FA Cup success in 2011.

He followed that by overseeing a first title win in 44 years last May and then added an additional trophy in the Community Shield.

Yet last weekend's 3-1 loss at struggling Southampton, after which Manchester United extended their lead at top of the table to 12 points, has brought renewed speculation over Mancini's position.

When told he had been criticised by "former City players", Mancini responded by saying they were "probably the players that won a lot of trophies in the history".

Mills told BBC Sport: "Mancini is under pressure. It looks like they have blown their chances of retaining the title.

"You wonder what would happen if they went out of the FA Cup against Leeds. I think Roberto Mancini goes."

Mancini is unlikely to risk captain Vincent Kompany, who has missed the last three games with a calf injury, against Championship side Leeds.

Midfielder Gareth Barry is also missing with an unspecified problem but central defender Matija Nastasic is fit again after a knee problem and striker Carlos Tevez returns after personal issues.
