It isn't ignorant to support the manager, it is ignorant to just dismiss valid arguments to genuine concerns, ffp may not be a concern to most of ours fans but I bet it is to the owners, especially with a manager with expensive tastes in charge.

Our nett spend was about the 10th highest in the league this season.

Sorry what's your point?

-- Mon Feb 18, 2013 9:25 am --

Question:
Do you think Mancini can win us the league or FA cup again in the next three seasons?

The answer has got to be YES. Got to be worth sticking with him - apart from last season, this season has been better than any other since PL began for us. 2nd place and with a strong shout of the FA Cup. Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea would swap with us in a heartbeat.

And, we COULD still win the league this season if the rags hit a particularly shit patch.

I remember when we sacked Peter Reid for disappointing us by coming 5th - and then went through a horde of managers, including Steve Coppell for 7 games or something. Not good.

Bit of stability can only give us success. Give it time! I'm happy we're doing so well, and trust we'll get even better soon.

Within the next 3 yrs I'd take that bet with any premier league manager in charge.

You're inferring that having Mancini as manager can cause us problems with FFP.

It's not just the season that gets taken into count tho, he had to get his wings clipped and he has done nothing but moan about it all season. Had we progressed in Europe maybe the board would have had that bit extra for one of his preferred signings.

Well it shows that we have a board that won't let FFP become a problem so you can calm your fears on that.

Winning Europa would have netted us around £10m. I wanted us to qualify for it but you don't always get what you wish for.

Are you wumming here? Mancini stated last week that if a rich owner wants to spend his money on x y or z then why should he be stopped. He was only saying what most of us blues think anyway.
In europe we are still babies in comparison to many other teams. It's like learning to walk..It takes time. Can you give it a rest now

First of all, yes, I absolutely think Mancini could win us further trophies in the coming three seasons.
But I am equally convinced so would pretty much any top league (meaning the BPL, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga) manager do with our sqaud.

I think we are under-performing under Mancini, that we should be even better than what we are. For that reason I am not against a new manager coming in to replace Roberto. I like him, a lot. But we could do better.
Often when I watch us play, I feel the players looks kind of inhibited, like tied on a leash or something. I just want to see the players set free, let them do what they do best in a formation and tactic which works to our obvious qualities. I want to see the players show an obvious affection and respect for not only their team-mates, but also their manager.

As fas as stability being a key to success is just plain wrong. Sure, Fergie has won a lot with Manu... but which other club can show a similar story?

Mancini has everything to do with ffp, now it can be argued all day wether bobby had a say in transfer dealings he made it clear we didn't get who he wanted, those weren't got because of the ffp restrictions, for the first time in a while we had to show restraint. He had a plan a but did he have a plan b? No equals bad management if its yes and sinclair etc was on his list no matter how low he's showing ... Again ... A complete lack of man management and complete ignorance towards, wait for it ... Ffp cos u can't tell me we didn have someone at the club that could have taken Sinclair's spot. 7million wasted which we won't make back.

When ffp comes into play city will not comply were hoping that showing we've made an effort will be enough to avoid serious punishment.

Expensive tastes? Man Utd's team cost as much if not more than City's

De Gea £17m
Smalling £10m
Evra £5.5m
Ferdinand £30m
Phil Jones £17m
Carrick £18m
Anderson £25m
Nani £17m
Young £16m
Van Persie £24m
Rooney £28m

= £207.5m
