Can somebody update me as to where we are with this one. Been busy all night getting sorted for a weekend on the piss in that there big London town and am I correct in saying we're all accepting Pellegrini is the incoming guy? That's certainly the information I received tonight through a reliable source and he received it direct from City's training camp.

Bookies went odds on and then closed book on Pellegrini.

Spanish press reporting MP "done deal".

PB says if Mancini is leaving, he not been sacked.

Zin says Mancini is going.

I was told this earlier and was also told it will be announced before the end of the season.

Re: Manchester City close on Pellegrini (merged)

Despite me questioning Mancini throughout this thread, I don't believe he deserved to get the push for Pellegrini.

If he has walked, I would like to know why.

But, as many have said, the time of this is shocking. No idea why it would gather so much pace today.

We are in the final tomorrow. He has won us an FA Cup already, and the league, and hopefully another FA Cup tomorrow: I think the atmosphere will be incredible for him tomorrow, and I hope it is. No matter what people think of him, on a trophy level he has delivered, and he deserves a great send off, if he is, indeed, gone.

I love Bobby too pieces and his trophy record is brilliant but for the owners to make us a worthwhile investment we have to be the best there is and that means make it on the European stage and Bobby has failed now 5 times. 3 with inter Milan and twice with us.

The year after he left inter Mourinho won the treble with virtually the same side Mancini had. He's a good manager but not a great one. Will always be a City legend and an idol of mine but we've gone as far as we can in my opinion and barring this cup run (a easy cup run bar Chelsea) this season has been pathetic and I can see where the owners are coming from.

Also those saying the sheikh should fuck off? Get some sleep as you sound pathetic. Football is a ruthless game and they have put enough money into our club to decide what they think is best. They came and rescued us from being a shite side for the foreseeable future, I didn't see Mancini running to our savour when we have willo flood and Sibierski running around.
This season has not been pathetic, second in league and potential FA Cup winners is not pathetic, fucking grow up RAG.

Not heard one person telling the sheikh to fuck off and never would either, that's when I knew it was a rag!

Don't know much about Pelergrini tbh. What's he won since coming to Europe

Fuck. All.

Re: Manchester City close on Pellegrini (merged)

I don't know why any supposed City supporter would leak or attempt to verify any stories tonight of all nights. Surely you just say nowt for 24 hours? Yeah, Balague's written the story, but why add anything to the fire? Pointscoring from wannabe ITK's can be the only reason. No-one who cares about the club would fan the flames.

Regardless of what he has achieved at City and what we fans think of him , his criticism of Marwood at the start of this season hasn't helped one bit.

less than mancini

How much less? Presumed he'd be a world beater if we're considering him over Mancini. Will have to look him up

Re: Manchester City close on Pellegrini (merged)

I am a bookie and I will say that I have not seen any bets going on Pellegrini. However I have heard that several significant bets have been placed on him between 11am and 1pm today. One bet was £10,000 to win £17,000, ie just under 7/4. What I will say is that I have witnessed a bet of £5,000 on Mourinho being Utd's next manager and we all know what happened their. Personally this money seems to be isolated to a few bookmakers. As mentioned he is 1/6 (tops) with one bookmaker, but with several others he is best priced at 4/6. What I am saying is that this is not consistent money across the board. A significant price difference of 1/6 and 4/6 means either one or two are either I.T.K. or one or two have made educated guesses based on form ( and it is all about guess work and form in gambling ). My opinion (for what it's worth). Mancini stays.
