Mancini Removed From The Stadium

Removing a banner or poster can never remove the history of what Mancini and the team did whilst he was here.I loved him and supported him but I wouldn't have a picture of my ex up in my house because she was the best shag I ever had etc.

Let's all just move on and get 100% behind Pellers starting this evening.

-- Mon Aug 19, 2013 8:01 am --

I agree, some people really do need to let go of their hatred of Mancini and accept he is one of the most successful managers in our history. Only Joe Mercer won more trophies. Only Tom Maley had a higher win ratio. His place in our history is assured. Sooner some learn to live with that and not try to erase him from their memories, the better.

Great post.

I'm fine now he has finally gone mate.

Was referring to the OP whose posters of Bob on his bedroom wall just isn't enough it seems.

On a serious note, he got the sack for being a very naughty boy (yes, I know what he did and no, im not telling) and given that fact, why would or should the club have his face plastered around the club and stadium when we are about to go forward with a new man and regime at the helm?

Not a club in the land that would do and we are no different.
I'm not sure, you'd better see a counsellor just in case. ;-)

I've got no real problem with a bit of re-emphasis in our stadium décor, so long as the man's achievements aren't trying to be put out of sight and mind. He deserves a good deal of credit for what he did. I hope future cuts of the title win video footage won't be removing Mancini's celebration, or this image banished from the archives:

So many things he's supposed to have done though that I don't know what you're talking about. I know now though the thing Prestwich_Blue was talking about, because he told me himself, and that can't be why he got sacked.

The fact is, he was sacked. On that basis it would be more than a little bit a bit weird if his image was all over the stadium the following season.

The appropriate time for any manager's beatification is after a period of reflection that is considerably longer than three months,
Exactly. I can't believe the thread has stretched past two or three posts.

I would suggest the hate filled posters need a lot more help, it is very odd that they can hate so much a man who brought a title to the club for the first time in my life time.

I have moved on and will be behind the man in charge and more importantly the players, yes all of them, but some of these other weirdos seemed to actually need Mancini to fail to be justified in their hatred, I think this is what pisses off a lot of people and makes them come out and defend Mancini, kind of like me here were as I would normally have skimmed through and not really posted at all.

He should be afforded the respect he deserves for ending our barron spell not villified for reasons/rumours that posters choose to keep to themselves or the likes of others who just hated the man before he even got the job.

Fixed.

He is a legend for making the rag cunts take that banner down...Remember how Mancini was lorded on here by 99% of posters after we won the cup for that reason alone. We had a huge thread on "That Banner",yet 2 years down the line he is vilified by many on here for still an unknown reason. All of us Football fans can be fickle at times but to vilify a man who ended so many years of despair, being baited by the rags, winning our first title for a long long time for a reason that many on here aren't willing to share just baffles me.
Anyway,we all move on. Looking fwd to this season very much.

I was one of the biggest Mancini inners on here and to be honest I think it makes sense to take down the poster.
Pellers is the new man now. Absolutely no point in dwelling on the past.
Mancini has his legacy at the club secured. He achieved. He achieved big time. That can never be taken away from him so it never will be.
In the years to come he will be revered for what he did in terms of trophies.
OK - he 'was a 'naughty boy' - big fucking deal.

The game tonight is what it is all about now. We need to get off to flyer! So the past is the past and its the future that counts now.

they removed a picture of kolo toure and tevez aswell. shame on the club how can they do that, they was part or our title winning team. I hope they dont erase them from all the videos and celebrations with the title aswell.
