Mancini Removed From The Stadium

He is a legend for making the rag cunts take that banner down...Remember how Mancini was lorded on here by 99% of posters after we won the cup for that reason alone. We had a huge thread on "That Banner",yet 2 years down the line he is vilified by many on here for still an unknown reason. All of us Football fans can be fickle at times but to vilify a man who ended so many years of despair,being baited by the rags,winning our first title for a long long time for a reason that many on here aren't willing to share just baffles me.
Anyway,we all move on. Looking fwd to this season very much.

But ultimately the above has nothing to do with the very minor thing of a change in some of our posters outside the stadium.

Which is what this thread is meant to be about. Otherwise it will just turn into the usual Mancini one that ran its course several times.

Apart from THAT day my abiding memory of Roberto Mancini was his response to a fan's question about removing that banner; "I will drive the bus over the bridge to pull it down." And metaphorically he did.

I would never, ever, have anything bad to say about him. I just wish that people on here would stop alluding to things that may or may not have happened either behind the scenes or in his private life and just focus on what he did to restore the pride that all our fans should have in our club.

Rant over, now to concentrate on what will happen on the field of play in 11 and a half hours time. :-)

Genuine question ... lets see if you've got the balls to answer it. How come you think it's ok to lock threads about Mancini, but participate in the regurgitated repetitive embarrassing threads about Liverpool/Spurs etc. in the general football forum. I could click on any page on those threads at random and find the some tedious "we're better" "no we're better" "we spent x amount" "no you didn't" posts from the same half a dozen posters.

Same with the threads about religion in the Cellar. Same with threads about Dzeko.

I wasn't being serious. It was a slight dig that some threads are too readily locked by Ducado. I see no real reason for another Mancini thread, just don't think they should be locked should they arise. I'd rather stop talking about him but if they come up I'm still going to defend him.
