Long term the Youth set up is the way to go, but the emphasis is on Long Term, it wont start to bear fruit for quite a few years, in the meantime?

I doubt any ex players really know the intentions of the club, City as a club are rather a different animal than the leak prone one we used to know

I'd agree here. The professionalism shown by the club in virtually every department, from marketing to PR and youth development has been remarkable in recent years.

Thats what I'm thinking. Whilst it's not beyond the realms of possibility that a couple of our former players have retired to his location, there's no way they would still know what's going on at City.
