Mancini: The Players haven't welcomed me...

if this is true and the journos have not just made it up, then the players need to get a fukin grip and start respecting a world class manager!!!

If its true, i think its a great read.

Once Mancini has shown the players what he has to offer i see no reason why that same loyalty will not be passed in its fullness onto him. The most successful club all boast a number of fiercely loyal players and that loyalty is usually bought on by how they perceive the manager.

Mancini shows in this report he has a full understanding of exactly what it takes to earn his players respect. Im liking him more and more.

this.

I haven't read the article because I don't read any papers but................ all this week you have all been going ballistic saying the papers/tv/media etc were telling lies about City so why suddenly do you believe what they have written??? I don't see the logic......... Must be me!!

there's a couple of translated quotes from Bobby Manc in there.

A joint press statement by the players wouldn't go amiss. They should be denying all this, not letting it swirl around. It's no good at all for the stability of the club just now.

Whist Mark Hughes made a number of errors , and mis-judgements , those players would do well to remember that they haven't been caught argueing in the dressing room after a number of games for nothing ..... it's because THEY have let both the manager , and the fans down with perfomances that were well below par ...... both collectively and individually!

Mancini is the chosen one , and deserves a chance ...... deliberating making life hard for him certainly isn't gonna bring Mark Hughes back here , that's for sure ...... and both players , and fans , need to get behind him.

Just don't let Cookie write it or read it out!

It's human nature to act that way, just like Mancini stated . Come 3 bells on Boxing Day a new era will commence.

we have brought this upon ourselves

While I will support Mancini 100% and its time to move on, sacking MH at this point in the season was a huge mistake.

I dont blame the players at all........the team was progressing and despite all those draws you could tell moral was good. They all wanted to work for MH. The team in general have done ok this season and the sacking and the fans that have helped this along the way could well have set the club back a number of steps in its progression....at teh very least they have given the media plenty of ammo with which to throw all this negative press at us.

Mancini will have to workl wonders to get the team back on track.....lets hope he is upto the job cause if he isnt i can see some of our more impatient supporters starting to critiicise quite quickly if things dont pick up.

Whatever happens in the next 2 months we need to be 100% behind all the team (every single player regardless of who it is) and the manager and the club in general.....regardless of results!!!!

You don't blame the players when they are being paid £100,000 per week to play for the club? Not the manager, mind, the club!

\i dont blame the players (especailly the longer serving ones and the ones that MH brought to the club and have been performing well...which is pretty much all of them)

To sack the manager at this point in the season is a huge risk....one taken out of impatience from the fans and the men running the club. Its been done time and time again by MCFC and we never learn....players want stability, not a club that is constantly changing a manager every 12 - 18 months.....

It is impossible to build a successful team (regardless of money spent) in just a season and a half....

Some of our impatient fans dont deserve success

And according to the posters on here this week, they were (mis)quoting Cook during the week. So either you believe what they write or you don't. I just find it strange that suddenly it is the players who are at fault. Divide and conquer springs to mind!!
