Mancini: The Players haven't welcomed me...

we have brought this upon ourselves

While I will support Mancini 100% and its time to move on, sacking MH at this point in the season was a huge mistake.

I dont blame the players at all........the team was progressing and despite all those draws you could tell moral was good. They all wanted to work for MH. The team in general have done ok this season and the sacking and the fans that have helped this along the way could well have set the club back a number of steps in its progression....at teh very least they have given the media plenty of ammo with which to throw all this negative press at us.

Mancini will have to workl wonders to get the team back on track.....lets hope he is upto the job cause if he isnt i can see some of our more impatient supporters starting to critiicise quite quickly if things dont pick up.

Whatever happens in the next 2 months we need to be 100% behind all the team (every single player regardless of who it is) and the manager and the club in general.....regardless of results!!!!
I endorse these sentiments entirely and also feel sick to the core we have done ourselves untold damage in more ways than just the performance of the team. Let's hope for all our sakes you, I and many others on here are wrong!

If they put as much passion and commitment that they have for Mark Hughes into their performances then things could have been a lot different. The players only have themselves to blame for the fate of the previous manager and they are meant to be professional footballers, I restate the professional part. If they're going to throw their toys out the pram, fuck off no matter how good you are because you know what? You're replacable!

If you show no consideration for the fans and only to line your pockets as you throw your toys out the pram then I have little to no respect for the players doing so. Despite this, I'd back Mancini to turn it round. He didn't come to England to be a failure.

there's a couple of translated quotes from Bobby Manc in there.

And according to the posters on here this week, they were (mis)quoting Cook during the week. So either you believe what they write or you don't. I just find it strange that suddenly it is the players who are at fault. Divide and conquer springs to mind!!

Totally agree with you Eccles. We cant have it both ways

Gentlemen this is just paper talk yet again.

Why would Mancini tell the italian press....please remember that the press want us to fail and will spread allsorts of rumours to make sure we all feel anxious.

We have to stand together now and back the team, and they are professional footballers who are well paid and will adapt.

So lets stop over reacting to the media hype.

There are a couple of quotes, but its the Daily Mails take on it that's all.

They probably don't like the extra training.

I've just listened to ManC on this and he said he had a good relationship with the players. The media are being toilet again and lying.

what else is he going to say???....

they hate me?????

I can see a few players being unhappy as Hughes signed them and no one likes change. But thinking about it sensibly they are meant to be pros and employued by the club. It really doesnt matter who the manager is its nothing to do with them they are paid to do a job for MCFC.

Most of them have worldcup places to play for - so cant suffer a dip in form (Barry, SWP, Bridge) others were not really playing under hughes and didnt like him it would seem (Toure, Adebayor, Robinho, Petrov) spring to mind)

There will be the nuetrals (NDJ, Kompany, Richards, Ireland, rsc) The ones I can see being the most unhappy are Given, Bellamy and Tevez. They are pros personified, Given has shown immense loyalty to his clubs throughout his career even when they have treated much better national heroes worse (Bobby Robson) I think Tevez will be OK as well as Mancini is a respected coach he will fall into line.

The one we are all worried about is Bellamy, we know what he is like anythign can happen. We hope is is grown up and acts like the proffesional we all know he is and moves on.

Just seen Mancini on SSN. Basically says he understands that players were close to Mark, and hopes that when he leaves in maybe 10/15 years after 5 Premiers and 4 Cups they will feel the same about him. (Only 5 Premiers? Perhaps he is not as ambitious as we first thought, hahaha!!!)

Top Man!!! Just loving his attitude and confidence.

Merry Xmas to all Bluemooners.

The papers are just trying to create a divide between Mancini and the players. Lets not help them in their quest, eh lads? Just because it has quotation marks, doesn't mean that's what he said. It doesn't even mean he's said anything at all.

Speaking to Italian press, Mancini said, "the players have made it quite clear that they hate me." Look... there are quotation marks in what i just typed... therefore it must be true. See how easy it is?
