Can't wait to see him back at the Bridge. I don't think he's a good manager but he seemed to work for us and I would have given him another year, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

If we had beaten Wigan would he have stayed? Or was his card marked from the start of April?
From what I gather his cards had been marked for a while. The formal decision to sack him was taken in March but I think the decision in people's minds was taken before then.

As late as March you think? If I had to guess I'd say the performances against Ajax will have made up the mind of guys like Txiki and Ferran in early winter.

it was febuary.

I hate these self important forum dwelling ***** with post counts in the tens of thousands who besmirch the memory of the great Roberto Mancini - a man who helped bring us unbelievably brilliant days that we'd waited so long for.

Get over your fucking selves and get the fuck outside and talk to some actual people ffs
All the shit will be forgotten in 10 years and he'll be remembered as the manager who brought us our first successes of the PL era.

You know what we're trying to achieve. You also know that we're trying to fix a problem that nobody likes and it will take a period of pretty heavy handedness before that point scoring bullshit stops because it's gone so unregulated in the past.

I'd like to thank you for making this more difficult than it needs to be. It's a big help.

Its differing opinions mate and its football, a subject that divides like no other, even when its our own club.

For bickering and arguing and point scoring and some dogs abuse, spend an hour or so in the Cellar!

This is not a have a go at the mods post, i appreciate some may not like what gets said but they have a choice to ignore it, same as i do in the cellar!

I'm struggling to get my head around how all of a sudden, we can have a different approach to the C of C, dependant on where something is posted.

This is actually perfectly in line with the CoC for years and years. We have City threads in the City forum and other teams thread in the General Football Forum. A Mancini thread is a "another team thread"

There shouldn't be any shit though pal. His only crime was to finish 2nd in the league. Certain players in our squad thought the work was done once we'd won the title and spent a large part of last season coasting. Collectively they're far more to blame than he is yet he cops most of the flak.

The same thing happened with NDJ and Barry. I'm not saying that any member of the title winning team are undroppable or unsellable but they must be afforded the proper respect for what they did. They should always be our heroes. It seems to me that all the docile, daft Barca lite fanboys are so dazzled by the grand vision of Soriano to replicate Barca that they're prepared to almost dismiss the amazing things that Roberto did for our club.

Thankfully this phenomenon is confined to the internet loons. Not every blue i know was sorry to see Mancini go but none of them muller him the way some of the knobs on here do.

Has Mancini bought anyone in this transfer window? Wonder what his long term plans are - will be very interested to see how he gets on in the next round of the Champions League - was destined to be against Chelsea. Ideally he can do us a favour and get them to kick the shit out of all those Chelsea bathtubs. Has a habit of beating Chelsea does Mancini. At least as far as I remember!

He's spent some money but not huge amounts. He has brought in:

Alex Telles (Gremio) - def - 6.2m

Salih Dursun (Kayserispor) - def - 2.8m

Umut Gundogan (Bucaspor) - mid - 0.6m

Izet Hajrovic (Grasshoppers) - mid - 3.5m.

So again, I think he is looking to sure things up at the back and in the middle. Interestingly he hasn't brought in a forward so must be happy with Drogba.

On a side note, Albert Rieira has been released by them.
