Mancini told CL form unacceptable in 1st meeting with Txiki

Stobart and Veysey ‏have had a better track record in the past year or so than most of our big name newspaper journos. Where was the first information about Soriano/ex-Barca crew broken? At Goal by one of them (I forget which).

True or false, it's hardly unbelievable is it. We've been bollocks. I'd be more worried if Txiki was all, "No worries Bobby, shit happens, ignore those flappers on Bluemoon".

About sums it up for me.

Txiki got his Cabal membership card on Tuesday night at the match. Not surprised he went straight for Mancini's jugular afterwards. It was clearly part of the deal.

Forgive my naivety but how exactly does this fella know what was discussed at this meeting?
Perhaps someone told him?

Could be:
- Marwood having a dig.
- Soriano & Begiristain flexing their muscles.
- Guardiola (via S & B) putting the squeeze on.
- Khaldoon or the Sheikh sending a public message.
- the club starting to prepare the ground for Mancini's departure.

Goal.com have been right before and particularly on the Barca connection iirc so theyve clearly got good sources & my assumption would be they've got it from there again. So one of the first three in my view.

Agree. I don't like Goal but Stobart and Veysey had some good articles about City in last months.

just out of curiosity PB , do you have any idea what is the role of a "football director" in a European club and what functions he should play?

If Pep Guardiola's leaking details of a meeting between Txiki and Mancini my dick is a kipper!

I've never heard such nonsense.

It's bleedin obvious that if they had a meeting the CL results would be mentioned. This isn't rocket science. So If you want to give the impression to the gullible that you have inside knowledge you write this article and smugly pat each other on the back as the suckers take it in.

I think I recall that Goal.com did some changes a year ago or so..Hired some guys from BBC for instance to improve content.

Might be nothing of course..
