Can't say I agree with any of that, although I've never met him, and don't wish to. I've heard from people that have met him that he's much nicer in the flesh. That doesn't surprise me one iota and isn't a great character reference so far as I'm concerned. Generally, the better people will be the ones closest to their online persona, not the furthest from it.Lucky Toma said:Made me laugh that Pidge :)
It's the power of silence isnt it. Dave has written his piece then sat back and let the words speak for themselves.
Meanwhile his haters are doing his work for him. I've seen at least ten variations of 'If Dismal came on here no doubt he'd say...' followed by put-downs aimed at themselves. Glorious stuff.
I've had a fair few run-ins with DD in my time and sometimes one of us has twisted the knife but there has never been any lingering animosity. I just don't get the intense emotions he stirs up at all - he's a blue with strong opinions, can be condescending as hell in combat, but a decent-to-the-bone bloke.
The last bit is all that matters. The rest is just forum nonsense.
I think it all depends on your perspective of what goes on here. Some people are evidently at the complete opposite end of the spectrum to me and see Didsbury Dave as a victim of bullying. I'm the exact opposite. I think he provokes it and most of the time he's the initiator. I'll refer you to his post to Trevor.

I was a proud city fan after the draw with madrid wednesday night, watching zabba fight like a lion, captain vinny showing the country that he didnt suffer a low point this season, Silva showing who is world class with his perfect passes / touches.
We have an opurtunity at wigan away to sing for the champions, league leaders and best team in the land and all the world. 4,600 blues will be behind the goals, dont see any reason why we cant keep the singing going for a "full 90 minutes".
Before the start of the game, we can group were the bars are at the back of stands, start the atmosphere there. Those who want to sing can surely congragate and get 2 to a seat, or just keep it going so everybody joins in.
Get in the seats 5 mins before kick off, start chanting "bring on the champions", then once players are out a long chorus of "bluemoon"... Then keep the singing going throughout the game.
Most of the small supporters clubs have tickets, TBA must be there in numbers and citizens followers... Ideal time to do this and i think the team deserves it.
Anybody wanting to bring ticker tape, flags, scarfs, please do.

I hope you enjoy your first away game.
Trevor's a good guy (and older than Didsbury Dave too). Very unbeat and enthusiastic. Rarely see him without a huge smile of his unnaturally white teeth. He is one of those trying to do something about better atmosphere at City by going to these atmosphere meetings at City and with TBA and whoever else. He does more than his fair share at the ground as well. I've stood next to him at matches and in the concourse and it's not a front. He's more than willing to play his part in creating a racket, in bringing flags amongst other things. Top bloke. Didsbury Dave's typical response even though he didn't know anything about him:
I hope you enjoy your first away game.
Sneering. Indeed, sneering as he did with his constant Kill The Cheese nonsense, or with any threads encouraging the return of the Poznan he'd sneer. It about sums Didsbury Dave up as a person. This stuff doesn't affect him. He's got no reason to be negative about it. Don't like it then don't join in. Rather than letting people get on with doing their own thing he'd rather try and belittle people, especially people with a positive can-do attitude like Trevor, and that's why I don't like the bloke.
