One of the things about the post-mortem re: the sacking on here that I find faintly curious is the notion in some quarters that the "outers" will be more likely to be the first ones demanding Pellegrini's sacking if and when things don't go smoothly.

My experience of human nature (fwiw) is that they will be among the last ones calling for his head.

and it came to pass that all the outers became inners

inners became outers and confusion reigned as the land of cups and trophys grew no closer.
The emperor known as Ric was called down from his palace but washed his hands, citing the scripture known as "morethanmyjobsworth"

The prophet known as dave from didsbury held his counsel, the mob cast about for a scape-goat to pillory and their wrath fell on the man from Israel. Wise words and soothing tones were to no avail, stones were gathered into piles and the loudest of the mob stationed themselves for the awful deed. Suddenly a mighty voice boomed out"
"Let he who has never criticised a manager cast the first stone" and the crowd murmured and slunk away.
Just another day in the life of bluemoon; and who knew the man from Israel was a ventriloquist?

The 'split' on Bluemoon is basically a parable of how the Protestant Church split from Rome and all the Holy Wars that subsequently ensued.

DD is Martin Luther. Skashion is Pope Leo X. You and me, BB, are mere extras ;-)

Nope, every manager starts with a clean slate as far as I'm concerned. If the results and performances are good, I'll praise the manager. If they're bad, I'll criticize him.
